I thought Nikita's head and defensive movement through the first 5 rounds was exceptional. I totally agree with your take over the later rounds, further improvement need to be implemented. He really takes way to much punishment when he is trading and moving in close ... well done Connor Wallace ... was worried when I heard it was a split decision.

Well said mate...Just wanted to listen in this morning to see your thoughts were similar to mine on the main event. Love Nikita only 10 fights to his record so you can forgive lapses in defence but it needs some work before he hits that elite level.

Overall agree with your assessment of Nikita. On balance the kid is only 10 fights in and is learning on the job against hard guys, as he didn't have a deep amateur career, unlike Polkinghorn who was on the card and you can see the depth of experience he has despite having less pro fights than Nikita. I disagree that I do think he would beat Zerafa, even this early in his career despite Zerafa's clear experience advantage, because Zerafa is not as tough as Koen, and his resistance won't last against Nikita's power. I saw enough in those first 5 rounds of Nikita's improvement to suggest to me that if he improves between each fight that around fight #18 -#20 he will be ready for quality international competition. Whilst the first fight on PPV last night I scored a draw I think all the final decisions were correct, it was a great night of entertainment, apart from the younger brother of Zerafa.

Thanks mate ,great analysis ! Congratulations Nikita ! But hopefully it's a lack of fights & experience ? I thought exactly the Same fought outstanding for first 5 rds . But No one Can fight with hands down around yr waist ? With little defence against a Season Fighter ? Yes,He has to be more Calculated,at throwing the Punch ? He is too talented to wear himself out going full bore, when not necessary ! And for the first 5 rounds was doing exactly that in evading punches thrown by Keon very often ? His head movements,& footwork early was impressive & must Continue doing that throughout the fight ? Kostya told Tim ,not to get hit & Nikita needs to do the Same ? Congratulations to ,to Keon ,one hell of a Warrior & How Could Anyone Complain about your Performance ? But U too,mate must avoid being hit ,especially Head Shot's because it will not benefit U ,Long term ? FIRST time Watching U & Thought U Did a Great Job ,So full marks from me ! There’s no Standing 8 count in professional boxing. Also, watch the stoppage back, 47 punches thrown to 2-3 in between. Koen eventually started to turn away and was badly hurt. It was actually a perfectly timed stoppage.

Nikita almost too athletic and durable for his own good, if that makes sense. I compare him in some ways to Rolly Romero who is now needing to take a step back and perhaps work on improved defence. Wasn’t overly impressed and agree that it’s too soon for him to face a cagey fighter like Zerafa or even Cesar Mateo Tapia who would probably school him.
