The best part of this is the fact Merle understands just how much Carol cares for his brother, and strangely enough, I think he respected her for that dedication and love. That if anything ever happened to him, his brother would be taken care of. God I love that character. Carol is just incredible. Her progression from the first season to now has just been phenomenal.

I absolutely love Carol. I have since her first episode. I think I related to her so much while she was everybody's victim, and I knew that she would eventually change. I love the direction they've taken with her, and I really hope she doesn't die in season six.

I'm glad they deleted this scene. I think it would not have really developed her character. In order for her to be believable we need actions. In this season we find evidence of Carol's growth; Merell noticed it. Also, she convinced Andrea to have a hot night with the governor then kill him in his sleep, and used Axel's dead body as a shield. She probably had plenty of time fantasizing on what she wanted to do to her husband back in the day, which probably contributes to her craftiness.
