I love Jerry’s line when he leaves Ezekiel with Carol in the orchard If you need me just holler I stay in hollering distance Jerry is so sweet but he also gives off the vibe that if anyone ever hurts Ezekiel they will have reason to be terrified.

ezekiel finds people, and they need something, and he tries his best to give it to them. bc he's right, people Want a leader, they want a King, someone to follow, to put their faith into. and ezekiel takes that trust so very seriously. he knows none of this is real, but it's as real as they make it and that works for them. he's such a great character, y'all are gonna love him going forward

Yeah it’s pretty funny that they were seriously going to air 7x3 as the second episode to just have yet another dark miserable episode, before finally somebody woke up and realized we needed a break

@@Depth217 Interesting. I actually didn't know that. Thanks for sharing that info. Yeah after 2 dark episodes separated by 6 months apart, having another very dark one right after would have been overkill. Which was already the case for the viewers who stopped watching after 7x1.

To think that while Carol and Morgan were having a good morning in a new safe place called the Kingdom Negan was making Rick his bitch off in the woods since this is the same day but we get to see what happened to Carol and Morgan after Morgan saves her and the Kingdom riders showed up.

Comic Comparisons : In the comics King Ezekiel isn’t introduced until a bit later. The conversation between Ezekiel and Carol happens between Ezekiel and Michonne in the comics Carol is long dead at this point in the comics as well as Morgan which makes this path completely unique to the show.

So we're dumped with this whole new community that has its origins explained and seems quite credible. We're introduced to a bunch of new characters that seem quite likeable. We're linked to the bad guys that is centred to our whole group and we're left in no doubt about their relationship with each other. On top of that - we get a real live tiger (CGI, really) and it all slots in place! All in an episode and I put it to you that that is top tier writing and plotting! Great reaction - Chance well on the ball with the zoo keeper, and Jason straight on to the rotten pigs for Saviours scheme. Most importantly - it looked to me like you enjoyed this little interlude after the horrors of the two previous! I'm sure others will tell the story of how that ran with the showrunners. Enjoy!

i remember seeing this for the first time on-air... i my family and i had the same initial reaction to King Ezekiel. KING.....? getting governor vibes. we promptly decided he was worthy of the name once we found out he had a tiger. 😂😂 i just love his character and the arcs his character experiences. and he was perfectly casted, 100%. the actor has SUCH kind eyes,, the scene with him and carol at the end always makes me tear up! ezekiel is very kind and understanding, and the actor translates that flawlessly even with his facial expressions.
