I was a little disappointed, too, but this turned out to be one of my favorite story arcs. Was super sad to see them kill Jesus, but can't blame the actor for wanting to move on. He was definitely was under-used. He was such a cool character at first. Then, nothing to speak of.

Its ironic how in the show,Jesus is killed by the first whisperer,but in the comic Jesus kills the last remaining whisperer. The actor wanted to leave because he felt his character was underutilized,since he had already seen the source material,he trained and prepared a lot only to feel dissapointed,but atleast he got killed off in a cool scene.

Exactly this. I had started to watch the show long before the comics, but I feel here in these later seasons they strayed way too far from the source material and the show began to fall off, and I think the ratings would agree with me.

Ya know, it's sort of a plot hole what went down between Michonne and Maggie in the 6 years following Rick's "death." One can only assume Michonne learned that Maggie orchestrated the events that led to Rick's death in her revenge quest against Negan. Maggie told Michonne then "if you had a child to raise alone because of him, he would have been dead a long time ago and you know it." And because Maggie and Oceanside didnt communicate information properly through the walkies, the Walker herds all merged together and caused it all. Michonne has to raise two children alone because of MAGGIE.

This was in the top 3 scariest episodes of the show. The other being Negan’s arrival and the third a later episode I won’t specify. The build up and gradually growing distress of the heroes as they begin to wonder if the walkers truly are evolving was so well done. We will never again have a moment like when that walker ducked.
