Walking Downtown Boca Raton, Florida in February 2023

Boca Raton is commonly referred to as being the "Rat's Mouth". This is in reference to early maps which showed hidden rocks and were hazardous to ships. In reality, Boca Raton is a gorgeous city in Palm Beach, Florida. Addison Mizner developed most of the city, and features a lot of Spanish architecture, pink coloring, and a relaxed atmosphere. It is home to Mizner Park and Royal Palm Place - two outdoor shopping malls with plenty of style.

I have spent the past 4 winters in Boca Raton & find it to be a clean beautiful city, I usually stay off Palmetto just west of A1A. Walking day or night & feel safe. Beats our cold winter here in Toronto.

Downtown Boca Raton has a laidback atmosphere, and the weather was nice that day. Great video, AK. I have family in Boca, so I go there a lot. I have mixed feelings about it. There's a lot of 1970s/80s suburban sprawl. Parts of it are beautiful though, and there are a lot of beautiful homes within some of the gated communities.
