On this walk we followed the Saxon Shore Way from the centre of Faversham to Whitstable (with a little inland detour via Cleve Hill). It was windy, muddy and refreshing! My favourite kind of walk.

I would love a pound for every time I walked or cycled to SeaSalter this way as a kid. We used to take a packed lunch and in the summer holidays a group of us would cycle to Seasalter and spend the whole day on the beach, an agonising ride home though sunburned, limbs aching with all the swimming and games played great days tho.

That pub at seasalter looks the same as when I was a kid. Haven’t seen it for at least 20 years.

Lovely walk have done it many many times .if you go in september there are wild apple trees by the sea wall but you need to do the longer version and follow the creek without cutting off the corner.

Great tip Darren, thanks. I will definitely do that walk to see them. Do you know where exactly they are?
@vajrabandit

They are in the stretch of path after you pass the mouth of the creek..so turn left after Nagden cottages to rejoin the creek and follow round to the creek mouth then if memory serves there are about ten trees spred over a few hundred metres..the sweetest apples are on a tree close to the gate they are smallish and unassuming enjoy!

Great info Darren. Thanks so much. I wonder how they ended up there!? Somebodies dropped apple cores?

So that's where you went while we had lunch by the sea wall - checking the high tide. That's dedication!
