Bochum! Memories for me! My uncle and aunt lived here, and I visited so often in the early 70s to the late 90s. I love tradition in general, and lot of it is still left. Thank you for a gorgeous youtube.

Thanks for that video of my home town. As a „Bochumer“ it was very interesting what you captured and which ways you took. I have to admit, that I found myself thinking several times: „oh no, not this way… why don‘t you capture that view…“ etc… But I think it‘s natural, when you know a place so well. ☺️

Thank you for taking us to these less famous places. For an American, I know a fair amount about Europe. Yet here is a large, prosperous German city that I knew nothing about at all. I suspect that you can experience the "real" Germany more easily in this city than in places like Munich, Berlin or even Stuttgart. Fascinating! 😎
@poptravelorg3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Interesting view. The Ruhrgebiet is densely populated and industrial with their coal and steel history. Few tourists visit the area and I think also not many Germans move there from other parts. Still it's part of one of the many sides of the country. I recorded Dortmund, Essen and Bochum in one day... By now I've covered now pretty much of Germany with more new and old videos left to post. Currently there are more than 100 Germany videos on the channel which wasn't planned yet result of the travel restrictions since 2020. Therefore I consider Germany, Ireland, UK, Poland and the Czech Republic "complete" and hope to get to Italy and France for longer to also get more impressions

I was in Australia this summer for a few days and managed to get to Linz again, went to Innsbruck from Munich and recorded several walks in Salzburg, where I was staying. I also jogged through Seefeld in Tirol for 15' between a train connection to Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Germany. I was planning to go to Vienna once again. It's a nice route to Graz and a few smaller towns on the way to Slovenia though that plan may move to next spring depending on the situation..

At the moment I have no plans this year for a trip to NRW. I was in Hagen, which is near Wetter yet back then I was on my way to Wuppertal etc. which I recorded. I'll see what next year brings. There are more places missing in NRW like Duisburg that got away on my trip last fall. I finished most of my Germany travels for this year. There are around 50 videos of Germany still coming from 2020 and 2021. Thanks for watching!
