Oh my friend,, so nice. My buddy plays this for me from time to time when I go to hang with him at his gigs when he plays locally. He played guitar and sang for " Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes " for four years in the late 70's to the mid 80's. Like Joel playing his 1936 Gibson L30 Acoustic, you do this song justice ! It was a pleasure hearing you play, thank you !! Joel is " Joel Cage " today - his stage name, and was Joel Gramolini when he played for Johnny.
Doesn`t get much better than this , NO Bullch1t ,NO Gimmics,NO fancy this and that Just 1 Guy and a Guitar ,thats what you call proper musicianship . Well done Sir you nailed this classic song and most importantly in your own style .. Thumbs up from me and Subbed ..

Thank you very much for this comment…means a lot. Yes I try to keep things simple for the most…just guitar and vocal. Thanks a million 👍👍👍❤️

Brilliant! So much soul, so much passion. I was beginning to think there were no good covers of this legendary song.
I'm beyond impressed with Paul's guitar playing and singing! I love listening to his music! It's just so beautiful!

Paul , when are you coming to Austin Texas? I would be there in a heart beat to see you. Been several years since I have been to Ireland , would love to see you live.

Would love to go to Austin…was in Nashville a couple years ago…loved it. Hopefully someday I’ll make it to Austin…thanks Joe 👍
This is excellent. I only started learning guitar recently & I'm documenting my entire learning journey on here so this was super motivational!

Thanks a lot Steven, really glad you enjoyed it 👍👍👍
Excellent! I've played this at gigs, and it always goes down well. You reach the high notes easily, whereas I find it more comfortable lowering the key to G or A. Have you tried a magnetic pickup on your acoustic guitar? My favourite is the Shadow SH145, which not only gives a reasonably accurate acoustic sound, but doesn't suffer from piezo quack, which is a real benefit with songs that require harder strumming.

Thanks man, really glad you enjoyed it. I have always had a high enough register with my voice…I can’t sing low at all lol. No I haven’t tried those magnetic pickups. They sound great though 👍
