Bravo !!!

yeah, but this is Paris. Most of the population in the cities (not the poorest altjough) would indeed dress nicely, but the urban population was only 15 % of France's whole population. In the villages, most of children and a significant share of women walked barefoot. The poorest of men also did. Same in the rest of the world. It was before the industrial revolution (or rather, the industrial revolution just began, but only in Englans).

How do you know? I think a lot of children were homeless in this time.
@arielunbound
@arielunbound 2 ай бұрын
@@JP-wt8jg Before cars, children were playing everywhere in the streets. You only have to look at old Victorian photographs to see the numbers - especially before free mandatory schooling (which Napolean helped to bring in!) Child gangs were also endemic on the streets of Revolutionary Paris, which was sited as a problem, when poorer people felt empowered and kids got hold of arms. Before contraception for married women, the birthrate was high, even if many children did not reach adulthood. The idea of no unsupervised children on the street, if you think about it, is a very modern one, due to the nuclear family and the dangers of cars, fears of health and safety etc, and TV etc keeping children inside when not at school. The country and city also blended far more into one another in the past too, with farm animals being taken through the walls everyday to be slaughtered, like geese, pigs, cows etc. Working horses would be everywhere. Often children help tend these animals. There were no labour laws at the time to protect children from working, it was a very different society.

it is a videogame called Assassin Creed Unity; the engines used to develop the game are Anvilnext 2.0, to build the scenes, characters, etc; Snowdrop, to render lights, colors, etc; Havok, to simulate physics and effects. These softwares are produced by specialized industries specifically for Ubisoft, the producer of the game, so nobody can buy them (but i think Havok is free), and in any case they would cost milions in licenses. But there are many other engines everybody can buy, or also download and install for free. Incredibly, the most famous of these, Unreal Engine and Unity, are totally free and in many aspects they are better then proprietary softwares. So, ideally, you could do a game or a video very similar, or also way better, than the one you watched here. There are tons of instructions and tutorials and teachers online. Easier way to start is typing "Unreal Engine" in google or youtube. Or wait until some artificial intelligence will create automatically your world under command.

Its nice, but I think there might have been horses and donkeys, dogs and cats, children running around, and coaches circulating (The streets seem impassable for coaches) Also, there are not enough "modern" buildings, contemporary to the times. Despite everything, Paris was the center of Europe at the time, yet here it seems too provincial
@bretonneux3389
@bretonneux3389 Ай бұрын
mmmh "modern buildings" (if you mean, big palaces) would have been only in the hyper-center. Paris was enterely rebuild in the 1850's-1960's under Napoleon III in a "haussmannien" style (the one we know today) and this looks quite realisitic to me (except for the height, buildings should be higher, with a yellow, infamous look, but not every neighbourhood looked the same). I don't see why there would be donkeys. Horses, yes, but only for dragging diligencies. Dogs and cats, yes (but especially cats, to chase rats. Dogs were more of a countryside animal, or a animal for nobles) But, especially, you're right, a lot of children. Due to high infant death and lower life expectancy, people used to have far more children than today, and societies were much younger than today.

You should mention it’s a game lmfao. People will think cameras were already there in the XVIIIth century.

Funny how the 1790s you see the powdered wig being phased out 😊. Only a couple of people in the video have them. This is true. The younger generation and middle aged generation were starting to stop wearing the wigs in the 1790s. Please correct me if I am wrong

why does the buildings look like they were as old as they would look nowaday? they were built in that time period and should look brand new...totally unrealistic

The thing that always surprises me is how muddy the streets really were back then, according to descriptions.

Because it was after the mud flood - all this magnificent architecture was found/ dug out, not built.

You could have gone further and depicted the "liberated" people on those streets, in their True state of souls : we would have wild beasts roaming around, all kind of savage species depending on the nature of their sins, because sinners they were - but all wild all the same, a wildness and savagery that enveloped the whole wide world and that has been inherited and "progressed" (in its wickedness) as the time has gone by!!! ✝️
