Walking Jersey - Grand Hotel to St Aubin (Part 3)

@thereluctantoutdoorsman Paddy G the cockapoo and I are now walking along the South coast of Jersey, Channel Islands. In this video, Part 3 of 3, we continue West along the sea wall, bump into my wife and two of her colleagues and arrive at our destination, St. Aubin.

You would make a good salesman Tom, drumming up business for the channel. A herd of kids or a pack sounds a good. I have always thought how lucky the kids in Jersey are to be born in such a beautiful place and a far cry from cities in the UK. How cool was that bumping into your wife after saying before hand you might see her, a fit lady. St Aubins has always been a favorite of mine. I remember going to the Summerville for a drink and a dance when we were finished in the Tenby. Oh happy days and remember having a drink in the Trafalgar when a new flash came on TV that president Regan had been shot and everyone just stopped to watched the TV for more news. Hi Nic, I'm not so sure I would make a decent living as a salesman........mind you the subscribers have shot up the past week, or so! It is great to hear your memories attached to places such as the the Reagan shooting and drink and dance at the Somerville! I suppose the whole idea of the channel is to bring back memories for people as well as showcasing the beauty of the island! Thanks as usual Nic! 👍🏻

This is the reason why I watch your channel Tom. I read other people’s comments who live outside the Island and they love the walks because of the beauty and fantastic scenery especially on-a sunny day. For me it brings back so many great memories and I can relate to something from the past on your lovely walks. Long May it continue for as long as you want to do it. Cheers.

Ah the little train. Last year my family and I were on the train from St Aubin to St Helier. I was sat on the outside when my phone fell out of my pocket. Had to stay on until first tower then retrace all the way back to St Aubin. Using life 360 we eventually found it. Lesson learnt 😮😮

What a lovely day for that walk, Tom! Busiest I have seen it! We do like The Boathouse and have eyed up the Indian restaurant but have never been. Will try it in October after your endorsement😊

Hi Sheila, yes we were lucky with the weather that day! I used to go regularly to the Noya Shapla.......but not so much now! 👍🏻⛱️🩴

What a lovely day to make this video and so very busy never in all my visits have seen so many people along the beachfront.Its always one of my favourite places to visit when the tide is up and to relax with a beer 🍻 🍻 and its on my list next visit especially to try The Boathouse .Great Work Tom and Paddy 👏👏👏👏👏

Cheers mate! That would be a cracking walk for you.........a few beers in St. Aubin, across the beach to Belcroute, up the hill to Noirmont, around to the Portelet Arms for a pint, across Portelet common and down the hill to Ouaisne (pint in the Smugglers) and stagger across the beach to your hotel at St. Ouen! 🍺😁😁😁👍🏻🍺

Hi Tom Mrs Kay was in Jersey watching the King and we just caught you leaving the parade called you as you just passed us but to much noise to hear us but she was happy to see paddy and back of you

Oh wow! What a shame I didn't hear you as it would have been lovely to meet you and Mrs. Kay. We flew back into Jersey from my daughter's graduation on the Sunday and to be honest were a bit worse for wear after four days celebrating in Liverpool! 🎉🥳🍺 I hope that you didn't get as wet as I did!

😮 wow Tom and paddy 🐕🥩🦴 g the gang of kids loved their walk and 🌟 Angie and her workmates ✅ you surprised me Tom did I hear you say mark the fish IV so he was a friend of mine in the 70s Mark lerish same as the shop name give him my best from me? from the bank which is now the Indian to the old courthouse was called the bulwarks in them days 👍 at aubuns my favourite place on your beautiful island 🏖️ well my friend thanks for the wonderful memories all the best John 😊😊😊

Hi John, as usual you don't miss a thing! When I was editing the video I wondered why I suddenly said "Mark the Fish"! It has no meaning to me at all........the only thing I can think of is that I have a vague recollection of reading it off of a sign near the town hall. Maybe a stall.............could be your old mate's huh! 😁🐟 As you said, the Indian used to be Nat West Bank! 👍🏻
