Thanks, AK-san! I've been to Little Tokyo 25 years ago. It was during my first trip abroad, so this place was very impressive and still makes me feel nostalgic. By the way, I feel $14.5 for Ramen is surprising a little bit for me. It's normally $10 at most in Japan.

I miss hanging out in Little Tokyo at night, because there's a different vibe. You went on a week night so it was more quiet, the weekend would be packed. Thank you for this walk, AK! 😎

I liked it because the lines were shorter to get ramen I can see this area getting very busy on weekends.

20 years ago before Little Tokyo got overrun with tourists and commercialism, we would come here very late at night to have a late dinner - some of the restaurants here were open till 1 or 2 in the morning and we used to love walking around Little Tokyo late at night when it's quiet and peaceful and back then Little Tokyo was very safe and skid row was still very far away. I wouldn't be walking around little Tokyo late at night nowadays though.

Little Tokyo has always been part of the tourist scene in downtown Los Angeles. What makes it really special and significant is the fact that the Azusa Street revival took place in Little Tokyo. It is the birthplace of international Pentecostalism. It’s also part of the church history that really is the foundation of downtown Los Angeles.

1st and 2nd Street maybe ok at night, but I would not go to 3rd Street. Not much there and very dangerous. 4th Street is now skid row.

Cool video, I remembered the movie Showdown in Little Tokyo, I guess would of been filmed there. Though I have to admit, it looks TOOO westernized and not like the REAL Tokyo.

This place is "Japan wannabe", but looks so american! The restaurants style, the trees, the benches etc.

Little Tokyo was started by all the Japanese transplants that moved here pre-world war two. It was a little piece of home that they carved out for themselves.

@@samuelplacensia9979 My point was the style of this portion of the city. It could have looked more japanese, with japanese-style look. But it just look a tiny american food village, so i called it "japan wannabe". Those seems restaurants trying to follow the increasing vawe of asian food in occident, very popular these days.

Hey this ain’t New York man, hit the button and cross with the walk signal! And yes of course they would go anyway they kinda had a green light. You would be considered the asshole for being in the road illegally and the cops would side with the driver.
