I agree! This is surely a big upgrade over the old terminal, which was cramped and felt dated. I don't believe any renovations of Terminals B and C are in the works right now, but there's another section of Terminal A that hasn't been completed yet. I believe that section is set to open later this year.

Thank you for the in depth detail of the new Terminal A. A major improvement from the dark, dingy, grimy, disgusting terminal that it used to be. However, you did not show de lounges for frequents flyers and first class/business class ticket holders/passengers. The food concession stands are nothing to brag about they could have done better much better also the weird lounge chairs as if one was in Atlantic City which is a dump a toxic dump. The big R if you are not from New Jersey you are puzzled as to what that big R in the middle of the floor is for or means. The interior designers were out smoking or snorting something how plain and ugly just clean for now because it is new. Thank you for the in depth detail.

Glad you found the video informative, I think there may be one or two small sections of the terminal that I skipped over on this walking route, so it's possible that may have been where the lounges were. And yes, I also found the lounge chairs to be a bit of curious but unique feature...I don't think I remember seeing anything like that in any other airport terminals in my travels.

Such a beautiful moderation of Terminal A. At 9:07 - 9:10, not sure if you've seen it, but there's an American Flag flying over on top of Gate A17. That's the gate United Airlines Flight 93 departed from on September 11, 2001. The American Flag honors those who lost their lives on United 93 and 9/11.

Thanks! That's an interesting fact about Gate A17, I've never noticed that before! That's a great way to honor the brave passengers who fought back on Flight 93, very poignant.

Oh...I remember the Old A with their satellite terminals, security tunnels and fast food joints turned full service restaurants. Makes me wonder what's gonna happen to em. I hope next time I fly United I get terminal A. But...who knows.

Wow, thank you so much for this. I watched the whole thing. I still haven't had a chance to see the new Terminal A in person yet even though I fly EWR a good amount (literally a day ago but Terminal C) so this video was great! I still can't believe after many years of hearing about it that it is finally here! And so clean, spacious, and beautiful! Just curious still, were the restrooms inside big and modern? Were any airline lounges (UA Club, etc.) open yet? Thanks a lot.

Glad you enjoyed the video--I got lucky (or unlucky) since my flight last week out of LaGuardia was cancelled, so I ended up here the next day and got a chance to check out the new terminal. I've been to the old Terminal A quite a few times before the COVID-19 pandemic, and I always thought it was really dated, so this is definitely a big upgrade. Restrooms were bright clean and modern, though I didn't notice any airline lounges while I was there last week.

Hi, I use a GoPro Hero 9 for most of my walking videos, and I often use a Revo AC-SPT200BH stabilizer stick to mount the camera, but I try not to use it for videos in some places like airports so I can be more discreet when filming. Like in this video, I just hold the camera with my hand.

@@Ericaahhhh Yes, check-in was good, security was efficient, and I felt like everything was operating pretty smooth, though I wasn't really traveling during a peak period.

I think Terminal A has JetBlue, American, Air Canada, as well as United, and it sounds like Delta may move some flights over there too later this year once the rest of the terminal opens. If I remember correctly Terminal C at EWR is United only, and handles more of the international flights. But I think you can check though from online sites like FlightAware or FlightRadar what terminal the flight you'll be on usually flies from in advance of your travel date.
