One thing that really stood out to me in this video is when you said “Our rules changes all of the time” in regard to storing resale items. Just came across your channel. Winner winner chicken dinner! You crack me up! I am from Canada use to have a second vacation home in cape Coral years ago! Sold before the down turn. And thank you for taking things out of all the places you demo. It pains me so much these million dollar mansions that get demoed and they leave amazing hand crafted staircases, woodworking all over the homes and perfectly good kitchens, floors and all the doors and knobs etc. some that are ancient that someone would pay a lot for....so thank you for taking it out and selling it. I am sure it's worth your time for taking out anything salvageable!!!!! Hello from Calgary, Alberta Canada!!!

I'm an owner at the neighboring property, the green and blue building. That's Tropical Sands Resort. We are a deeded timeshare resort. The guy that owns our management company also owns a construction company as well, so he was able to utilize his maintenance crews to help with the rebuild and not using all 3rd party companies/contractors (obviously some had to be used for stuff like the pool, elevators, etc) really sped up the process. We opened back up at the beginning of June. I was just there last week and it was saddening to see all the vacant lots everywhere from homes and resorts being torn down.

extremely interesting video. I like the fact that you took the time to show every unit and what exactly is going to go on even though I know the waste and scrap metal game really really good sometimes there’s just certain things but you just can’t sell and time-consuming by the time you take them out piece by piece in order for them to sit on the shelf and not move in then end up scrapping them anyway so money is money but you have to think in the long run but you have an opportunity to have a store and a refill thing and small little brick of brack will sell faster than anything be safe and show us the demo….Bob

Regarding locked units, I can understand brute-force entry through the walls of a frame building, but concrete would be a lot more work. Have you considered picking the locks by raking the pin tumblers? It's really basic and easy to learn. A lot of these rental units do not have high-quality, secure locksets. Another method would be to pull the tumblers out using a dent puller. More generally, I'm astonished at all the salvage that is available at some of these sites after the insurance companies have totaled the buildings.
@removeitprosdemolition
@removeitprosdemolition Ай бұрын
Yeah, we get buildings all the time and they have so much nice stuff in them and everybody's had a chance to come and get everything and they just don't want it to store the stuff until they find another place or not. They need to gotta wait till they get money from this project. Of course, they got to sell the project to get it and then as far as getting through the walls. That's just a couple of my guys who are crazy, and they are just showing off. We, uh, there are several other ways we could've got in, but that's what they wanted to do.

Do you ever offer curbside 'free sale' of furnishings you dont want to sell? Saves dumpster/landfill space and helps those who are still struggling to get back on their feet. I visited the area a few months ago and was amazed at how many people are still in trailers.😢
@removeitprosdemolition

We have done free curb alerts here and there, they become a big waste of time. People come to you like they are shopping and the emotional are heavy here in the free space, needy people are huge time wasters. Our area is so well off its not a very good option here in Cape Coral it worked somewhat. 10 years ago that is.

Yeah, storing stuff around the beach is very expensive. It wouldn't be long, and they would have had more money in storage fees than what the furniture was worth.

They have had many months to do that, the representative for the owners has kept them up to speed. We mailed a guys a suitcase, others sold us their kitchens, we are taking out the remaining kitchens, vanities, windows, HVAC systems, hot water heaters, appliances, doors, trex and railings and various scrap. Helping out a active church mission with most of the household stuff. they were here today with 10 humans and 2 trucks getting the stuff out we also donated some stuff we usually keep to sell. Fridges and stoves.

@removeitprosdemolition
@removeitprosdemolition 26 күн бұрын
They took what they wanted the rest of it. It's so expensive to store stuff around the beach. By the time they stored it for a year or 2 years while they get something else going on. The value of that stuff is at yard sale value. And it's not worth what it will cost them to store it, so that's the idea. And most people have no place to put anything because we're in Florida. There's no basements here, so that's why plus we give him a price break on the job, because we know we're going to get all this stuff and we repurpose it

This guy is amazing, his market is Naples to Tampa Bay, his name is demolish ion pros. He’s in such a high market area that he want to save the custom railing, the doors and windows that have been trough a hurricane, just to make a buck. The clientele there would never buy it, let’s put morel railing around the pool. He’s on an episode of horders in the next year. He said he doesn’t have any more room already, I love this guy!! He reminds me of my grandfather that I had to clean up his 80 acres when he died. Your the best, someone will buy it, not, your the middleman for the trash company! Get a big picture, for real, you’re going bankrupt in 2 years. The cost in labor to remove those railings and they sit forever and nothing, your killing your business. Take it to scrap.

But yet we have a thriving business, 17 years on the resale side, the resale shop does over $800K a year. and the scrap another $300K. Its because of this thinking that the landfills get so much very nice stuff each year, most are not organized enough, its all in the planning.
