Outstanding tour Alice. I remember the highway signs for Cardiff as I drove towards Mumbles for an overnight stay. I enjoy watching videos. My grandparents immigrated from Swansea which is considered to be a special place in our family. Thank you for sharing your travels.

New name for the channel: It's an "Open and Shut Case". Oh dear Alice you do have such bad luck with closed buildings. The video didn't disappoint though. Very interesting. Thanks for the walk round Cardiff. 🇳🇱🙋♀🥝

Hey Alice, finally finally getting a chance to sit and enjoy the videos. Great day around beautiful Cardiff. A lovely church at St Johns, I like that the pub across from it is named Owain Glyndwr! So cool. Enjoyed watching your visit to the Cardiff central market, they do some amazing Welsh cakes in there worth a munch! Great that you ended at the castle... But hehe, in true Alice style it's shut! :o hehe. Awesome to see the roman gate, but hopefully you'll revisit and explore it! Thank you for the great tour around Cardiff

Another visit to Cardiff is planned. It's a brilliant city, and just so much to see and enjoy. Such a shame that the grounds were closed, but I've become used to that now! Thanks for watching.

Great tour round Cardiff Alice. Not far from us in Gloucester. And have not been. Presented well and we have added to our list of places to visit. 👍🏻🚶🏻♂️🚶♀️

Brilliant walking tour and information about Cardiff, haven't been there for a few years! Some of your locations have featured heavily in Doctor Who, hence the reason I love this city...

I like Cardiff. It's such a brilliant city to explore. I hadn't planned on visiting on this trip, but as you will see later in the series, you'll discover why! Cardiff is Dr. Who Central, so i do need to go back.

We love Cardiff!! Shame st David's is shut for the foreseeable. We enjoyed wandering the streets of Cardiff with you. We love that market. You have the worst luck with opening times!! Too bad. Cheers Alice 🍻

I've walked though so many markets on my travels, especially Valencia, but Cardiff was an interesting one. The day didn't go to plan, but nothing on this trip did as you will see in later videos.

I live in London and I was planning to have a look at Hereford and Worcester this summer but it seems awkward and expensive to get to from London. It never occurred to me to visit Cardiff but anywhere with a castle is bound to be interesting.

Nearly all towns and cities in Wales have a castle. In nearly all of my videos in this current series from South Wales I visit a castle. There are numerous in Monmouthshire as well as ruined abbeys and priories. Easy to get to on the coach also and not expensive compared to the trains.

@@AliceGossI managed to get a return ticket London to Birmingham for £18 on the Trainline website. From there it costs me £22 return to get to Worcester by train. Booking 10 days in advance it's good value. I'll also take a day trip to Hereford, that's £12 off peak return from Worcester. It's only this year I discovered that train travel needn't be astronomically expensive if you just book a bit in advance.

@draoi99 Always plan ahead when travelling. Look at coach travel, far cheaper than the train.

Ah, the curse of the closed building strikes again! You are so unfortunate. Still, an interesting video despite that setback. I like the old station, The Great Western Railway. Nice they haven't pulled it down and slapped some glass and concrete monstrosity there.

Cardiff is a city full of interest, especially the architecture. The closed curse strikes again, but will it be the last time on this trip?

@@AliceGoss Let us hope the curse has been lifted! 😀
