These buildings are more than 200 years old and their owners left them to be a memory for the next generation...and in fact the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia restored some of them from the inside so that they would be stable and not affected by earthquakes and storms. Currently, they are considered a tourist attraction in Jeddah.
