That Marugame Udon has been packed ever since it opened...I forget how many years ago. It is by far the best and cheapest option in Waikiki. Man, I am so happy you finally got to Hawaii for some videos. Mahalo for bringing me back home!!!!

It is pronounced "koo hee o" spelled kuhio. I miss living there soooo much!!! IMP used to be a single story placed with local vendors. It hurt my heart they tore it down for another commercial monstrosity!😢

Aloha, AK! Come back to Honolulu for Halloween 🎃. It is so wild & fun. I am glad you enjoyed the udon. That banyan tree at the Market Place is the first in Hawai'i & oldest one in Hawai'i. It was a gift to Princess Ka'iulani as that was once her home ’Āina Hau. She was the heir to the throne of Hawai'i. Her mother was Princess Likelike (lee-kay-lee-kay), the sister of Queen Lili'uokalani & King Kalākaua. Her father was Archibald Cleghorn, from Scotland. He brought her the banyan tree as a gift. He served as the Royal Governor of O'ahu in July, 1887. Lots of history there. Mahalo nui loa for the fun cruise. Some of us don't get over there enough. Aloha & Mahalo🌺🌺

AK,I remember the one story International Naruonal Market Place. I usually have my Fliphino food there in my lunch break. I practically worked at Kalakala Ave passing out Airport Express Flyer back I. 1994.

You might want to start visiting residential areas next. Practically every state is changing their laws on how to zone residential and business. Florida is about to do that soon as the next election cycle. New York is planning it. Basically it will change how apartment blocks can go into former business areas. I know that apartments are being built right behind my house which was just open field before but was originally zoned as industrial only as Northrop Grumman used the land to test their laser guidance systems. Now it’s a nearly complete luxury apartment complex. Miami is building inland and into the bay as a new marina is slowly being planned out. New York is trying to figure out the building situation with the empty lots still available.
