Walking with Mountain Sheep

Happy Easter ! Something different for the week that is in it. I hope you find this film of us, walking in the Connemara mountains and bringing in the sheep, relaxing and soothing.

So enjoyed this! We have a fair amount of sheep grazing near us. I love listening to them call to each other and watching them is so peaceful. Can't leave them on their own here as we have so many coyotes. What a raw, beautiful place for a ramble. Thanks for bringing us along.

How lovely! Watching this makes me think of those decades when I was a goatherd. I had up to twenty-six goats at a time over the years but I preferred a herd number around fifteen. I loved those many years, out with my goats and border collie (Lucky - best dog I ever had) in the local meadows around the village, in the forest and up the mountain time and time again.

It looks really beautiful there... I miss mountains.. When I was very small we lived near the shannon, we moved to other lovely places in Ireland too.. During the early 1980s I lived in Snowdonia (for about 4 years) before settling in Essex .. which is pretty flat... I do love to be able to see mountains, even in the distance.. I love the land raw and untouched by the modern world, it reminded me of some parts of our beautiful Cape Brenton here in Canada.
