That's the weird thing about this song. Its so popular as a celebratory song of self-discovery and personal freedom from the bonds of societal expectations, but in the plot it functions as a point in which Elsa is isolating herself and cutting herself off from all relationships. As much as she needs the self discovery, ultimately the song, the mountain, the ice castle, everything about it is just... sad.

So there was actually an interview where the voice of Elsa (Idina Menzel) explained that, and she said she was told to pause super briefly at some points of the song, making it that much more difficult to sing. However, it adds a really nice touch that makes the scene just that much more realistic (not the ice queen's are realistic in the first place)
@Verzsy3 жыл бұрын

I’m surprised people aren’t mostly comenting about the editing in this video. The person who edited it got every sound right including making it echo in some areas. They made Elsa sing quieter when the camera is more far away, and has wind plus other background noises. It also shows sound effects of the crown dropping, her walking and, her dress moving . There is also other stuff the editor did to make it sound realistic . Give them credit, this is a masterpiece.
