After I left Morgantown, I took buses to Cincinnati, Ohio, where I was hosted for a week by my friends, Jason, Patricia, & Myra (Jason’s mom).
On June 20, at Mile 7,931 plus 194, my friends take me on a 1/4 mile hike to check out some turtles and frogs at the Farbach-Werner Nature Preserve. Though I only spotted red-eared sliders, I’m told snappers are around too.
Next, we go for a 1/2 mile walk around one of the many lakes in the third largest cemetery in the United States, the Spring Grove Cemetery.
Founded in the mid-1800s, it’s known for its beautiful and serene landscape, including rolling hills, winding paths, lakes, and an impressive collection of trees, plants, and wildlife. The swans were elegant and the tiger lilies smelled divine.
On June 22, my friends take me to a hidden location to check out some fossils and a tiny waterfall. I discover a heart shaped hagstone with a fossil.
After mapping out our routes, I realize we did a mile which put me at Mile 7,932 plus 196 (thanks to my friends each adding on a mile with me).
On June 24, I’m back at the Greyhound station getting ready to go back to Sandusky & Cedar Point. I end this episode with the usual invitation to come walk a mile with me and experience the magic.
After the credits, a preview clip of the next episode.
