the new lsa/ls3 holdens with bimodal exhaust absolutely smoke the sound of these cars

Moral of the story... Buy the SS.... Get a cam upgrade, Fit better breaks to it, maybe fit a pully upgrade to the supercharger (if you wanted to) and take it to a decent tuner... Congratulations you now have an SS that will woop an "enhanced" Clubsport... and you still have change from the extra $21,500. :-D

Correct.. If you feel you need to spend an extra 20k on a badge then that's your prerogative... apple and apples.

No........ You get a standard SS ( like mine).......weaker gearbox that has the 2nd to 3rd issue unless it is an auto...........you buy the cam....... have to pull the engine / gearbox out to fit a stronger clutch........ might need a better tail shaft.......coil overs.......... camber kit.......the OTR and full exhaust system...........put it all back together........a tune........ .Then the standard brakes won't pull it up the same......... the upgrades cost a small fortune....... and they will not fit underneath the standard 18 inch SS wheels......... You have spent all that money and got a good car......... but it lacks that badging which justifies it being worth and an extra $30,000 or more.

Where the hell are they getting the pricing, its close to over 25K for the supercharger kits and a new SS is around 50K, then you have a cluby which starts at around 70K + 25K for the supercharger kit so thats around 95K all up, again unless they are using 2nd hand cars which have at least 30 to 50K on the clock then the pricing is right?

So basically this is a Australian style of a dodge charger🤷🏾‍♂️I love this car tho don’t get me wrong

Not really actually. This was a v8 performance sedan before the charger got brought back from the dead, so the charger is more of an american commodore

People only buy the ss because they have no other choice! HSV's are way better in every way

What a load of c***. I could have bought a Clubsport and settled on the Redline. It did what I wanted and was better value. Sometimes you need to ask if you are talking out your arse, because clearly at times you are.

There is only 50 of these or 52 if you include the 2 prototypes How many people have actually seen one getting around? I know of 3 in Adelaide and 1 in vic. You are more likely to get a poke in the eye with a stick than see one of these.

If you're gonna spend all that money, why not just get a crate engine and drop it in, it's much cheaper and a lot more power. I'd drop the LSX in, comes already supercharged. Fuck dropping turbo kits, I'd go for more displacement, bore/stroke and less lag.
@Antifaith29
@Antifaith29 9 жыл бұрын
David Pham No need, the L77 has plenty of potential on it's own. You start transplanting engines and sure, might be an ok thing to do for one car but for a production line kinda deal theyre gonna get the figures they want, keep the warranty and save a shitload of money. As for the r8 one, well there's nothiing wrong with the LS3 in that either, you could get the same power ( well, the same kinda power you want in one of these cars anyway) as the 427. Just doesnt seem much point in HSV doing it. I'm pretty sure these guys dont turbo the cars either, they supercharge, instant because it's belt driven so no lag.

And for $10K on a BF F6, I have 401 RwKw ( allow 25% for drive train loss makes it very close to 500 Engine Kw) & 968 Nm torque atw (again be over 1100 Nm Engine) Not knocking this car but seems a lot of money for that power gain. Does Walkinshaw Engineering get a commission ?? As I have mates who have spent WAY less on their HSV's with more gains than this !

These packages I believe still hold full factory warranty. Which your mates won't have.

The 2013 2014 production touring car races at bathurst and sydney the mitsubishi evo 9s and 10s leave these v8s in the dust winning just about every race even hold there own against the v8s down conrod straight where all the bullshit ends and get this they are only 4 cylinders and haif the power of the v8s for the 2015 races mitsubishi evos had to cut there power down so the other cars can keep up can you believe it if i wanted a performance car it wouldnt be a holden all revs no herbs

Eragon Job and get this, shut the fuck up. no one cares about your Evo bullshit. I'd like to see your evos do a burnout like these cars do. appreciate an Australian car or fuck off to Japan.

All that extra power (120 kw) more than the stock vf gts and it can only manage 0 to 100 time of 4.1 sec which is 0.01 sec faster than the gts which is a bees dick length... id rather stick with a gts and modify that

500 kw and can only manage a 4-4.5 sec 0-100.... Evo's, WRX's and Skyline's manage that with 250rwkw or so.... and will handle better. I like my aussie V8's, but bang for buck performance these are not.

+David S I love the Evo's, Wrx's abd skylines, but they won't do faster 0-60 times with out a lot more work then the commo, plus there are not as many of these walk's compared those tuners. If you would like to know how I know the WRX, and Evo, need plenty of work before doing times like that (apart from the latest models) my father and I smoke them on the street all the time in our torana, with only a aftermarket carb on it and a backyard tune at the time, and it was miss firing, the skylines not to sure, the only one we raced had 900rwhp, but 600 at the time, though they will handle a lot better then the commo's, but for back road hooning, the gts handles well enough to have some real fun.
