I have a worked turbo, I don't care what these muppets say, V8 power opposed to turbo power its just something about it, the noise, grunt and pull when you put the foot down it feels different. You don't get that with a turbo Sorry!!Still got love for the V8s!!

exactly. ive had numerous turbos but my last 2 cars are V8s. You can get power and performance just not that awesome rumble from the 8!

i like that carbon wrap on the walkinshaw , but the graphics on the bonnet and the graphic on the back looks shit . i like the gold stripe on the length of the car .

0 to 100 for the redline is reaLLY AROUND 5 TO 5.5 SECONDS FOR THE SERIES ONE, SERIES 2 IS AROUND 4.5 TO 4.7 SECONDS. :)

Yeah true, but probably more reliable than a Mercedes. Also, the speed limiter in a Commodore is easier to remove with a tune. All Mercedes are either speed limited to 250 km an hour, or in some cases 300 km an hour.

Bring a vf gts to the drag which is even quicker in stock form than these cars... would lay waste to your prescious xr6 turbo... by tge way... no one cars about the turbo any more.... it is all about the supercharged gt... oh yea... sorry that is obsolete too

With so much power the R8 only manages 4.5 sec from 0-100. I drive a Lexus ISF 311kw with 505nm 0-100 4.8 sec stock. Wish HSV would engineer their cars better not just to produce power top end. I would so buy one.

Getting power down was the challenge Sumit. As you can see in the clip we were smoking tyres most of the run. Still loads of fun though!

+Sumit Ram 125k That's the difference! Almost half the price and getting same performance as the overpriced rebadged Toyota.Now link the quarter mile time and compare it to what this would get. Lexus would be near 13 seconds and the R8 would be close to 10, More fun in the R8.

+Sumit Ram you're not considering the fact that these are pure-classic-meaty V8 HOLDENS, with minimal tech and all power. What does that mean? massive amount of torque... But because there is SO MUCH power, ya tyres would skid and slide with a even a little push on that accelerator. which also means??- LONGER TIME. haha!

u would think walky would of used a better rim and tyre set up to get the traction for the power to be useful in a straight line. 20 by 9 front and 20 by 10.5 min rears a 315r888r would be a second quicker to 100 imo. though as long as my barra is blowing them away im happy.
