Loving Lyscombe - the deserted cottage and Chapel were enchanting and Dorsetshire Gap intriguing. You mention area being dairy farmed yet you and Logan rarely seem to encounter fields with livestock in. Is that luck or judicious editing?! I hate walking through fields with cattle!! Thanks for another great video which I really enjoyed.
@DaveFord2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jean. I don't remember seeing any cattle in any of the fields we actually walked through that day - maybe we were on land that was too high up? (that is not to say that there may be some at other times of the year of course!). I do remember going through a field that had sheep in at one end - the scene near the end when I had Logan on a lead & gave him water.

Hi Dave . Did this lovely walk today! We, and two dogs really enjoyed it . Unfortunately rain started while at chapel, so cut short walk a bit by going back the way we came . Ironically there were many sheep gathered around the old sheep dip ! 😊. All the best , Alan , Michelle and doggies

Hi Dave. Many thanks for your very interesting walks. You certainly do your research for every walk that you do? I was born in Poole, & lived in Mappowder, Shaftesbury & Stur' Newton. I moved away in 1989, but Dorset will always be in my blood, especially Hardy's Dorset. In one of your vlogs, you went by or along Hunt Rd, near Longfleet, Poole. I had an aunt who lived in Hunt Rd, & in the front garden, there used to be two concrete pedestals, with baskets on the top, again made with concrete, & covered in seashells? Probably long gone by now, but if you lived in Poole for a long time, you may have seen them? Kind regards, :& many thanks. Pete.

I have lived in Puddletown, Dorset since 2018 and I don’t know half of the places you visit. How do you find them and also do you need permission to walk in these fields?
@DaveFord Жыл бұрын
Hi Tracie. Many of the walks can be found in walking books or guides. I just followed public footpaths - which often went through fields (there is a map up on screen about 30 seconds into the video that shows the route of the walk).Thanks for watching.
