Great as always.. You know that I love the views from the South Downs. Wonderful day for a walk. Keep up the good work. Glad that Logan got a blackberry or two. Thank you both.

Thank you Lavinia. That was one of the last opportunities for a "pit stop for blackberries" for a few months now!

What a lovely old church. There is something about these old churches in England that draw me to them. Just love seeing them. Wonderful walk Dave and Logan.👏🏻

The church looked very pretty in the Autumnal sunshine that day.

Another great walk Dave and some terrific views. That scene of you walking up the barrow with the dramatic cloud backdrop. As a screen grab that would make a great album cover!😀

Thanks Mark. My Gopro was starting to struggle a bit with the low light when the clouds appeared!

Kingley Vale. Spent many a happy hour there as a kid looking for spent ordinance around the range. In the 60s I used to help a mobile green grocer, Mr Potts. The Saturday round used to finish at the Hare and Hounds. Mr Potts used to have a pint and a pie in the bar and I guarded the van with a ginger beer and a packet of crisps. Happy Days lovely video.

Thanks David. Yes, I have happy memories of the Hare & Hounds as well. I used to walk at Stoughton regularly about 30 years ago & it made for an excellent "final" destination!

That was a lovely walk Dave, I enjoyed it. That's when I miss old England living here in France but we have a beautiful country to visit too. All the best to you and dear Logan.

Very pretty area, Dave. I'm usually a little sceptical about river sources. As the water table goes down, so the source moves downstream

Lovely walk Dave, and "The King Of The Trig Points" bags another! Though I don't think he had much of a view from his vantage point this time. Well earned pint, and crisps for Logan. don't know if you can help Dave, on a day trip to Arundel a few years back we had lunch at the pub in Burpham. My question is, is it pronounced Burp-ham or Burph-am. Wish I'd asked when I was there 'cause it's always bugged me. Thanks
@DaveFord2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Funny you should mention that as I was doing some research this week for a walk that I will be doing in the Summer at Burpham! I believe it is pronounced "BUR - FAM" (the "PH" becomes an "F"). Confusingly, I think that the hamlet next to it, called Wepham, is pronounced WEP- HAM!

Another lovely walk full of beauty and interest. Four legs definitely seem better than two when descending humps! Does Logan jump up on the trig points by himself when you 'bag' them or do you have to lift him up there?
@DaveFord2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jean. I have to lift Logan on to the Trig point - there is just about enough room for him on top! Yes, my knees are not designed for hills these days!
