A nice peaceful morning walk, doesn't get much better, just watching it sets me up for the day. Hope you're feeling better, don't want anything stopping you from going on your walks 👍🏻

Thanks Philip - I actually recorded that a week a go and now, thank you for asking, I am much better and getting ready for another video walk. Such a lovely view up there, I agree.

Thank you! Such a nice place! So helpful for an assignment I need to write, and I was not able to visit the place right now! :)

Interesting video! I remember there being a Dew Pond at the Truleigh Hill YHA back in 2001 and that also was nearly dried up.

Haven't driven up or down the Beacon road in a while, used to be a short cut to Asda in Hollingbury. Yes there are lovely views up the top, must get up there over the Easter holidays, not that far from me in Burgess Hill

The car park at the beacon fills up pretty quickly during the summer. Getting there early is key. I usually take the Lewes direction for some reason but no matter which direction one takes the views are spectacular

Thanks for this - it was nice to see Ditchling Beacon in the sunshine! On the day I walked over it there was freezing rain and no view to speak of.

Oh that's a shame to reach the top and have no view! Thanks for watching.

Myself and my partner walked from the Ditchling Beacon the past 2 days, in completely different weather. Yesterday was sunny, only about 22 degrees, and we headed South and West before coming back along the South Downs Way. Today was very windy, a little rainy, as we crossed the road and went to Blackcap before heading back. Will be back when we can.

Hey Richard, beautiful views on top of Ditchling Beacon, I've vlogged from up there a few times. In the right light as you caught it, the video captures it perfectly. Trev

Loved this video. Went to Ditchling for the first time last year but as a cyclist I would say coming down was more enjoyable than struggling to get up (though the rewards were certainly worth it)

Golly, I wouldn't want to cycle up the hill! Well done!

You should walk some of the old abandoned train lines in sussex/surrey :)
@RichardVobes7 жыл бұрын
Dave D Yes I am planning to do just that! Great suggestion.

Cool, i look forward to seeing that.

It's a lovely place, but a word of warning to anyone who wants to walk up to the Beacon from the village of Ditchling: don't try taking the main road. It has no pavement/sidewalk, and the car traffic can be terrifying, as some people drive down the road like lunatics. Try and use one of the public footpaths instead. The village of Ditchling itself has a fine old church, and an interesting little museum dedicated to the artists who used to live in the area.
@RichardVobes6 жыл бұрын
DavidB5501 oh I agree about the road. Its bad enough up there by car. I must pop round to the museum.

Richard, do you use a filter for the camera for your video recordings, which you arranged in front of the lens?
@hfvhf9877 жыл бұрын
Unlikely as i think he uses a GoPro. The key to his lovely colours is going out in the morning when the sun is low in the sky
@Riddlestar017 жыл бұрын
Oh yes, that could be the reason. Let's see what he responds ^^

Yes that's true, whether he takes the recorder or a microphone on the shirt collar. You can learn a lot from him how to get good recordings

For selfish reasons it would be nice if you did a walk round Broadwater in Worthing.
@RichardVobes7 жыл бұрын
I will do that - Broadwater, as you know is far older than Worthing and definitely worth a proper visit. I must get my research together and launch out and do one. Good suggestion - thanks for watching.
@1966babysnakes7 жыл бұрын
