This archival footage is so important because it's probably one of the only showcases of slc in that time. And in my opinion, 2018 slc was peak. So many rustic buildings but still lined up with shops and people walking about. In current year (2024) it feels very barren because of the rising rents so only like a block of the city feels occupied

Thanks! But you were so close downtown City Creek Center and Temple Square, why didn't you keep going? Was it pretty cold?

Hows NYC now under DeBlasio? Youre a prisoner, pay ungodly rent and its not safe to go outside because of the mobs. The rich left and the gehtoo 1970s is returning. Enjoy.

Yeah. It's livelier now that it's warm / light later. More foot traffic would be nice though.

downtown Phoenix, Detroit, Cleveland, saint Louis, San Diego and even los angles (if you don't count the skid row patrons or the scores of LAPD cracking down in that area) are pretty much dead expect sporting events or rush hour traffic or holiday shopping other than their down is a lot more dead than downtown slc.

It's not like they were just trying to show the nightlife in SLC. As far as a nightlife goes I think it starts off pretty well outside a lively bar. He if he would have turned right instead is Gracie's pub and that place is great. He didn't even go up by City Creek, the Gateway or Temple square. All with their own unique qualities.
