I'm super happy with my walksnail system. I had the vrx, but recently upgraded to the fatshark goggles.It's been a much better experience than my dji experience. And the 1s vtx has no real competition. My 1s snailpick is the s#!t. 🤘

Tried DJI V1 the other day, I much prefer my hdzero goggles, but now I hear walksnail has really improved

@@UAVfutures The hdzero goggles themselves are nice, bigger than skyzones or fatshark, I suspect the same image as walksnail both are oled 16:9? Hdzero at the time solved some issues I had with analog, which were noise in the video feed, and blue race gates are easy to see now. For hdzero to succeed they need to come up with a smaller vtx, the freestyle vtx is huge, and the whoop vtx is limited to just 200mw

@@UAVfutures HDZero is noisier than DJI, but the latency is ultra-low and fixed. That combined with the 90hz cam is something you have to experience. It's aimed to racers and proximity freestylers. Some call it Analog 2.0.

I'm using the HD Pro with the Avatar VRX on my Fatshark Attitude V6. I love it and got both for less than the goggles.

I can’t afford it. But if I had the money I would upgrade. I still fly analog. Haven’t flown in over a year. As my dad died. I flew for the first time the other day. In a forest it was great . Cheers stu 👍🏼

if they deliver this good picture i cannot say the price is to steep. The less weight than the dji does not really matter as the dji is so comfortable for me. Thanks for a great review there Stuart :) Love the passion you manage to put into this hobby mate! Keep on doing ur thing. It works!

super nice video. BTW, what happenned to the field where you used to race with the gang? One of that races made me introduce to the hobby. I wish Velocidrone had that track with the big chimney. Great Video :) I picked my Walksnail goggle and a VTX cheap off Gumtree -- there were people were dumping their gear even without trying it by the look of it. The gear I picked up was brand new. I am loving digital, and I am flying around in 1080p just looks so good - My Betaflight OSB looks great in the Goggle I like the PID and focus adjustment Comfort took a bit of fiddling to get the Goggles comfortable, playing around with the foam pieces -- but got there in the end. I have my Goggles setup to have the VTX in standby until armed then in 700mw, and that works automatically -- I have it set only to record when the Quad is armed, that also works automatically.

I bought my first drone a little over a year ago now. I got a DJI FPV drone. Now I am looking at a 4 or 5 inch drone but i would like to use my DJI fpv goggles i dont mind having to get another controller. What would i have to buy to be able to sync the goggles with the new drone?

The price on these dropped to $480 USD a couple of weeks ago or so. They are being sold for 675$ CDN. The new ones don’t come with antennas.

The Goggles should come out of standby mode if you enable MSP on the uart that the Walksnail VTX is connected too. When you arm the quad standby will automatically shutoff.

Hay Stew, Great video, I haven't decided yet what I'm going to do. Walksnail, HDzerro, or DJI. Actually, DJI is out. Unless the price drops. WoW, those look great. What is it with quad pilots, You and Bardwell need to clean your pools. I still have my SKYZONE 03O googles, and I still love the picture, I was thinking about getting the HDzerro module. Thanks again for a great video. P.S. You need the Google cord with the 5v regulator, I think you can plug in an 8s and never damage your googles.

Hi Stu Great review as always! And I like the honesty. Feedback, I had left audio only for when you talk. Question, do you have to register this like DJI, or can you actually use this without big brothers control? On an other note, if you would take your first $100 build and put a new flight control board in it, would it fly much different? It would be a great 'blind test' to see if you can notice.

My maiden flight with the avatar system was in standby mode and It made it the same distance as any other 25mw vtx. The video froze in blocks and I had to fly through it. 😂 that woke me up.

I'm confused. I quit watching this channel when DJI was constantly being shit on just because of the company and not the product. I believe they were even compared to Apple and everyone was being told to do not support. Now I see you have not only WS goggles and system but also DJI and mentions of how good DJI and WS looks. Dji is worse than Apple. Apple atleast won't hand over your info whereas dji is a data farm. You can make a great product but still be so scummy that no one wants to support you

You need to try the goggles 2 with the 03 air unit you'll not use the avatar system after you see what that's like flying it's a whole new world with that system my walksnail stuff now just sit's not bein used DJI just keep's getting better
