No need for Cam Link anymore? Which method is better using HDMI or Usb for Live Streaming in terms of quality?

In order to get the video over USB it will need to be compressed, when it gets to your computer I am guessing it will be decompressed before being recompressed to be sent to the streaming server. Often the streaming server will then recompress it. You've got a lot of recompression steps there and every one will degrade the picture. So I would say HDMI is best unless the capture is bad. I would recommend testing it and spending time finding the best configuration - James

I have streamed live twice to KZbin and both times the video was forced to Private for contravening the KZbin Terms & Policies… downloading the stream and reloading the content solves the problem… looking into the google help pages this “ban” can occur when an unknown API is used… have you successfully streamed to KZbin?

Thank you again! This was a great tutorial. I wonder when I can use the camera for zoom, do I record from the camera or from zoom? And to include the wireless rode mic is it attached to computer or camera? I’m hoping you know the answers. Thank you 🙏

Hi Anita, you can use audio through the camera, so just attached as usual. You will need a capture card to plug in the GH6, and then it will just work automatically with Zoom and other software :) Hope that helps - www.wexphotovideo.com/atomos-connect-1752104/

Is it possible to zoom in on the display in manual focus mode to check the accuracy of the focus? Is it during recording, like Sony cameras? Panasonic has help with manual focusing, but as soon as we press the Rec button, the function becomes unavailable. In the new model, it is now possible to refine the focus during recording by zooming in on the display or touching the screen with your fingers or a designated button? There is no exact interpretation in the instructions that I downloaded. You can only find out from a practitioner. Thanks.

Plenty of useful info here. Thanks! The GH5 II is my first non point & shoot camera and I really like the quality I get from it since I pikce dit up last week. Quick question fk you have time : how do you set constant preview so that it reflects changes in aperture on the screen? (A mode) right now, constant preview just shows me the scene but not what it will look like after I take the picture. Thank you

I heard that PIXEL/PIXEL gives you less of sensor size but does not oversample so the image is actually sharper when selecting it for filming. Thoughts?

Hello, where is „extrenal teleconverter” function ? In GH5 it was possibility to use ex teleconverter in movies…..why GH5m2 dosent have ?

The live streaming is impossible to set up on the GH5m2. Couldn't even get the camera to pair with the smartphone app reliably, let alone get it set up for actual live streaming! Just end up plugging in directly with a camlink to get it to work.😅

Took me a while, but it wasn't too difficult. Mine now streams directly to KZbin, but there is no in body recording.
