Bought this a few days ago, great string library, very lovely legatos and articulations! Very organic and natural sound of the instruments. Also many individual patches, very gentle to the RAM managment. Great work Spitfire Audio!

Does it have the "PERFORMANCE LEGATO" patches that can help play unbelievably fast yet highly believable RUNS, like in Spitfire Symphonic Strings?

Shashank Chauhan ha I asked the same question above. Any info? Wish they had an articulations list on their website, can’t find one.

Thank you, Paul for this extended presentation! You are developing a style already :) Lovely sound, great engineering!

I have to admit, I did think 'not moooore strings?' BUT, I think they sound great. I like how they seem to have a quick attack. They sound especially gorgeous with that reverb.

Why would you want a house, a car, a wife or a life when you have Spitfire... :D This will be a lovely companion to my Chamber Strings library.

exactly! nice and dry and can sound like many other libraries with a good reverb.

It would be helpful if you could cover how The Ostinatum feature of this library functions. Will you be doing a video of this?
@zaharishtonov6 жыл бұрын
There are older videos in other products you could watch and they function the same.

So the legato performance in this is not the same as BBCSO or Chambers, in that it does not trigger staccato notes?
@eylam96902 жыл бұрын
Nope, no performance legato in that sense.

I've found a problem on F# lowest bass instrument note. Sound unexpected rise and go down after a few seconds. Only on F# lowest bass.... Any sample problem?

I noticed on some other videos some spitfire strings have a runs articulation (you play the run but the legato is geared for it. Does this library include it?

There are a few runs in the extended techniques, most are only to a 5th though

diferences between spitfire synphonic strings? ( the green layout one)

Totally different question, but Paul - what is this table you are using here where all your equipment is located at? Because it is exactly that kind of table I am looking for - I know your "Doepfer" weights around 24kg - and it is hard to find a simple table with a drawer being able to hold such a beast ;).

Just listened to the second demo with the young lady and her composition. The orchestra, in places (2:44), sounds out of tune. Can't hear it here as the examples are short and stand-alone. Am I wrong?

Why does mine not have keyswitches? I have the articulation buttons of course, but no switches on the keyboard.

What's the different between Albion ONE and Studio Strings?
@cannonjones6713 Жыл бұрын
I know I'm a few months late, but just in case anyone else comes along, Albion ONE is separated into ensembles, instead of sections. Whereas Studio Strings gives you Violins I, Violins II, Violas, Celli, and Basses, each in their own patches, Albion ONE merely has a "Strings" patch that has the whole string section mapped across the keyboard. Faster for sketches, but far less control of the overall sound in the long run. Another huge difference is that Studio Strings is just the strings (as the name suggests), while Albion ONE has strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion, and synthesizers (however, each in ensemble patches as before). One last thing to note is the reason behind the term "studio" in "Studio Strings". Studio Strings was recorded in Air Studio One, and Albion ONE was recorded at Lyndhurst Hall. As a result, Studio Strings has a much tighter, dryer sound that you can add your own reverbs to, making it a little easier to combine libraries if you know what you're doing. Albion ONE, on the other hand, has its own reverb from the hall it was recorded at.

This may be the best walkthrough yet in terms of pacing, editing, and performance. I'm a fan of the Bernard Herrmann Toolkit so the sound of this library is immediately appealing. Oh but nothing is mentioned about microphones in this video and now I see why. This version only has the tree mic. The close mics are what would make this library useful compared to the rest of the libraries I have. Hmm...
@zaharishtonov6 жыл бұрын
Then you need to go with the Pro version of the library :)

By itself it does sound dry and straightforward, but that allows you, with the right adjustments/articulations and whatnot, to create any sort of vibe you’re going for, including chilling spooky vibes! This is my favorite string library for that reason

Hey man, it's a dynamics fader, which controls the strength of the notes being played. Lower the fader, the quieter the playing. Hope this helps! 👍
