@@Gamer_Aviator Probably missed the boat on this discussion but for the watch tower, the exterior is a lie, the anchor points for the watch tower are inside/ in the center the structute and I have been able to put a solar generator at the bottom and lights under the top platform inside the structure. Id give it a half point for the lighting effect atleast.

They never test anything really lol. They have put out broken atom shop items for years now. If you paid for any of it, demand refunds. You get to keep the items and get atoms back.

I’ve personally noticed that building in 76 cameras modes will also guarantee different glitches. I have to build in both free cam and first person because free cam sometimes doesn’t allow me to place certain items but when I go in first person the game allows me to. Idk if it is one of those situations but would be a nice thing to test out.

Just wondering if you guys have noticed the bug or nerf they did to Healing Factor serum? It went from 300% regen health down to now only 3% regen health! They should invite some of the youtubers and streamers that do build videos to put their new camp items through the ringer in a closed test - they'd be more likely to do what is done by players when building once released and find issues and bugs before they went live. The problem with the PTS is that players focus more on the 'new' stuff and don't try doing a lot of their daily grind which is why you see quests break, camp items break or disappear etc. so a lot of stuff seems to get missed when it goes live.

The new barn being on the second page of the scoreboard, and actually usable, is great. The fact that the tower is a bust, for me at least, is not surprising. After losing all of my turrets at my camp after this patch dropped I was already not pleased. Then watching corpses I had yet to loot disappear at events, pip boy lag continuing, and some weird stuttering in certain locations I'm getting the vibe this patch wasn't tested very well. Regardless, great video as always.

I'd be interested in seeing you test what i thought the main utility for the walkway ramps would be: just being able to go up a floor inside a player built house, with the ramp along a wall, without having to center a stair on a foundation, and then be able to seal the gap on the upper floor with a half floor.

Congrats to you two for your first live stream yesterday, it was a fun watch. I totally agree that these are a complete nightmare to use, going to have to find a way to free place them to use on the floor. also if you ever get items that won't place under something, it often works if you blueprint the item then place the blueprint.

Thanks for sharing this. Don't ever be sorry for being honest guys !!!!! It's much appreciated. There are mostly fails and almost no wins from Bugthesda any more. Add all the issues with season and shop items along with frustrating build mechanics along with the weapons and in game changes and it's clear that there is more focus on cash grabbing than having a game that players want to spend time in. I don't want my game time to feel like work. The Devs path seems to be set on forcing the players to spend more time grinding with barely any in game reward for doing so. I gave up 1st quite some time ago and only use earned atoms for shop items. It's really sad because I LOVE the Fallout universe but refuse to support the sleazy tactics being used.

Did you try adjusting the camera more while building than you showed here? I've noticed with a lot of stuff the placement can vary widely depending on how far away the camera is, looking from above or below, or looking past the building and moving the object to the side of my screen to place it somewhat out of site. A lot of the time when I find similar issues to what you showed, zooming super far out and making the object placement be out of the center of the screen usually changes the collision to be a lot easier to work with.

Thank you for video. I always look forward to the camp item rewards, in the past scoreboard/seasons. For the top of the tower, would the small grey or light brown mats work as a platform for other objects? With free cam, what happens if you start at the top and work your way down? Also, do the new walkways interact with any of the other floors or walkways? Maybe, the fort walkways? (The ones that came with the new style stairs.)

It appears to me from my know-it-all perspective that if you put your first ramp back one side so that it's opposite that first jutting piece that you could transition over it and the one that follows, letting you reach the top easier. I would be happy to test this theory myself but by the time I have the parts, we'll be getting ready to start season 19. Sorry, I have too much time on my hands.

I'm having the same glitching problems just trying to build a camp with regular old floor pieces. Snapping points? it's like the pieces are repelling each other.

Did you try in first person i know free cam can break a lot of placements and also toggling snap off/on can sometimes make a huge difference when it comes to that intersecting glitch

couple possible fixes for some of your issues but i can't test them yet so maybe not. - move your tower or start the walkway on another side, it looked like it would maybe allow you to touch the ground with the first walkway if it weren't over that rocky bit. you had a walkway hovering on the front of the tower for a second at one point that was clipping into the ground and was outlined in blue like it could be placed there. - place the item (or items) you want on the top of the tower onto another flat surface and blueprint it/them then try to place them at the top of the tower by using the blueprinted version, blueprints usually allow you to place items where they normally cannot be placed.

Yes, it's actually an exact copy of a tower near Flatwoods that's a part of an obstacle course. All structures and textures offered to us for building are copies of things that exist around the Wasteland.

I love this channel. You all keep the updates entertaining. After this update and with this dismal new season, I have canceled fallout 1st and may uninstall the game. Bethesda just doesn't seem to care about the player's time or how much grinding is required to gain all the crap they throw at us. I'll give the game a few weeks to sort out the new bugs and see if they reverse the nerfs. If they do not, I'll just uninstall the game and support companies that do not give their customers the middle finger.

Fallout 76 has one of the most punishing base-building systems I've ever seen in a game. This is why I stopped playing for several years. I recently came back, and I'm remembering SOOOO many of the reasons I left. And it's also very clear just from gameplay going from CAMP to CAMP that many of the serious builders have also left, likely for similar reasons. Very frustrating. They really need to get a UX team to go over the CAMP Building system, especially in open world.

They look like that piece of wood that sticking out from the side should be on the complete opposite side so you may have that incorrect and that’s why it’s not snapping but maybe I’m wrong once again I haven’t got that far yet but that’s how it looks to me like that piece of sticking out is causing it not to snap so maybe you have to go around the other way around the tower with it with the flat pieceagainst the tower

Yeah couple of bugs I don't like right now power armor hud is broken, objective mark's are missing for daily quest, and my favorite thing is no one is using the best camp feature as much as people thought they would.

The game engine was made in 2011 lol lucky anything works , it's amazing that Bethesda can even keep adding to the game, pure miracle. In short , engine needs to be upgraded to a newer version. It would allow for a lot of upgrades, including graphics and fps

honestly, I knew those wall walkways will be garbage, wall items work awfully at that game, worst to work with is wall items, be it dumb posters or something other, they never feel like they stick well to wall well, some walls just dont let them to snap on at all, like my responders tower, i cant put anything on wall in half of "second floor" area for some reason and outside walls can have giant invisible barrier or not depending on things, I will get them only to have them but very doubt I ever use those, maybe they improve it, I knew they would not snap to them as even other items those should snap, if they are wall decoration, they dont, as kitchen wall cabinets, those indeed I cant place good way even in my "kitchen" tower I never cared much as I assumed it would be exactly as that one in scout camp, no entrance, no interaction, no interest, not sure what for that one is without having scaffolding around, barn actually apparently has issue too, seen other showcase video where he could not put tractor nor wagon in.. I worry I will be unable to decorate by anything at all I would want, as I planned to build that one and use as "working barn" aside my already existing "storage/trading barn", but I will try to build smaller things in once I get to that one but I am not much positive about it overall I tend to say it too often lately but this season is worse than before, and all of them are worse automatically for me since they changed how rewards work, this new system with shop is awful, and when you literally have to buy something, by that it is more irritating when it works or look worse than expected, than if we got free stuff just by collecting score (yes, you get tickets by collecting score but it is getting "money" and for that you literally buy things, it feels totally different for me and isnt even biggest issue for me either)

They never get these things right. It's like the fortress build kit, that needs a major fix. They struggle to follow a system and they keep screwing with items to make it waaaay harder, if not impossible, to work with. It's like they're making homage to the imperial system and giving the metric system the finger.

@@arcanusluvalus1388 The walls sit too high and poke out of roofs and the stair foundation restricts things around it, and since it's off to the side, nothing snaps around it properly. Was definitely expecting the wall walks to snap to it, but no, that was apparently not the idea or an oversight.

In all fairness, fo76 has always had the worst building mechanics. Whoever at bugthesda designed the camp building mechanics need to apply to McDonald's or something because being a developer is just not for them. Sad part is bugthesda will never fix this or anything involving camp building mechanics because that would require them to icknowledge they fucked up and bugthesda rather blame players than to ever admit a mistake.

The creation engine is a disaster. It should of been rebuilt from the ground up years ago. I wouldn't be surprised to hear Bethesda has a hard time keeping talent because nonody wants to fuck with this broke ass engine daily.
