I was sure that you weren’t getting the feel for the drop based on everything stuck together thanks to the thick coat of paint, but showing that drive cam made it clear. That was a really good save!!

When I saw that large hammer my hands hurt, because I would have been hitting my hand instead of the glove.

The guy that can open it without the code, recommends you put valuables in it. 🤔

Yeah but how long did it take? No burglar is going to get into it before the police arrive after the alarm goes off. No safe is impenetrable.

Its a "Magic module" lock so its easy to replace the lock for a better one, for example a electronic lock. Best ones are the generator ones, they will never run out of battery. Best would be a fingerprint one so theres no codes to forget. Looks like a commercial location, so I would store master keys, codes, recovery, USBs and/or paper with encryption keys, etc in it. Like a "disaster recovery plan" openable with fingerprint. Looks like the bolt have been modified however, but should be easy to re-modify a newer bolt by grinding down the bolt so it fits into the hole. Or even, drilling the hole in the collar bigger so it fits a normal safe bolt. Note however that the safe is not "insurance approved" for storing valuables however, this because a requirement (atleast in EU) is that the bolt of the lock device should not be affected by force, if someone were to force the handle in the opening direction. The requirement is called "relieved bolt" and that basically means that the safe lock must have a support on the bolt that soaks up the forces if anyone would try to force the safe open using a crowbar in the "opening direction" (think if someone were to weld a crowbar to the "turning ring" and then put all their weight on it in the clockwise direction).

@sebastiannielsen we don't like electronic locks. They WiLL fail at some point. Mechanical locks can run forever .
@sebastiannielsen7 күн бұрын
@@MBSAFCRKR Thats why I suggested the generator ones. They don't fail what I have heard. (unless the generator mechanism itself fails but that should be rare). One of my favorites are Kaba X10, they will NEVER fail. There propably exist fingerprint locks with the same style and reliability.

Great save. It would be a shame to see this one destroyed. Very pretty.
