I worked at that office and after they closed up, but before the new owners moved in they filmed that sequence. I used to do the rope method when I was a child. I'd use a mixture of rope and martial arts belts and climb up and down the walls. The harnesses ended up becoming more advanced over time until eventually I had to give up when my climbing started wearing away the paint and wood in my house from the rope friction.

Very cool, Captain! But there's still one question you've never answered in all these years... Just how in the hell do you remove something from a shot to make it seem like it's not there?!?

He said exactly how. It's masked out by replacing that part of the frame with a shot where nobody was there. I'm also pretty sure it was explained on multiple occasions.

From my understanding is there are actually less than a handful of rotating room rigs in existence due to the cost and difficulty making and using them. Many sets appear across multiple movies. If you watch the "Breakdancing on the ceiling" scene from "Breakin' 2", you'll spot Freddy Kruegers glove, because they borrowed the rig from The Nightmare on Elm Street.
