They only did the Walmart branded items because it's their highest margins products. They're rewards are so low because they want to keep their prices low. Its it's strange how other cards have higher rewards shopping there.

I got suckered into getting this card a while back by a cashier. I canceled it immediately right after. I got other cards that give me better cash back anyway.

Bro i like what you said . I got the walmart rewards card i also have cibc simplii and TD bank . I believe none of them gave me anything more than 1%😣. And all are Zero Annual . I believe this card offer better than Other Free from these banks at 5% . Atleast something more is better than nothing 😝

I have a CIBC with 500 dollar limit that is 5 yrs old and a walmart rewards that is 3 yrs old. I wanted to close my walmart rewards with a 8500 limit. Got pushed into opening this card during covid on the cashier. I had problems with my cibc as they don’t increase my limit even with my good credit score and so i just continued using this walmart card. Will it hurt my credit score if I close this card at this 8500 credit limit and has 3 yr history? I opened a scotiabank momentum last month. So i’m thinking to just cancel this card since my oldest card is cibc at 500 limit 5 years.

I don't think so. Applying for a credit card means they need to hard check your credit. So you'll unfortunately need to type in your sin number

I just get rid of my Walmart World Mastercard. It sucks that it won’t allow me to add it on my apple pay. Yeah it’s just a petty reason.

I thought at first it would be a video like the CIBC Costco MC, lol. Definitely not worth it at all unless you only buy branded products from Wal Mart which I doubt people do. Also for the MBNA, isn't it considered 5.5% if you take in consideration the birthday bonus?
