Was at a Super Wal-Mart just yesterday. Only models they had were a bunch of Gurundits and a few Listigs. Of course, with my luck on a daily basis, the one I actually wanted wasn't there. So, a few minutes ago I order a Wurdig off of Wal-Mart's online website. Thankfully, shipping wasn't ridiculous. Though curiously, these knives are listed under the brand name. But none of those three I mentioned are actually listed by their model names. Just pictures along with descriptions of each one. I found that a bit odd.

On the multi-tool, it's Wave clone dude - so much so, that you can interchange the tools between the clones and the Wave. The patent on the Leatherman Wave recently ran out, and MANY companies started pumping out clones. Also, it's not a 2-sided file, it's a 3 sided file - the teeth on the edge is meant for cutting metal.

Great review. I got a couple of these as soon as they came online. I have an extensive knife collection, some cheap as can be and some very very expensive knives. I have been using the Wurdig as my daily carry and I have been using the Stahlern for camping and bushcraft. I have boxed up my high end knives and been giving away my less expensive knives. These knives are magnificent for the cost and would be even if the price was double. I strongly suggest trying these out whether you are new to knives and knife use or an old ass eagle scout like me. I have the first two presented. Both were under thirty dollars! Nothing in the cabinet came close to matching quality to dollar value. Even the packaging is well thought out and a cut above any offered in the cabinet. I have the fixed blade as well and it is great. Knit picking here but the only negative that I found is the retention of the pivot on the sheath. For me, it rotates too easy but that is minor. Great camp/hiking knife! For the money, I’m impressed.

I was at Walmart and happened to see the wurdig and picked it up on a whim. It's got a light detent, but still snaps out. It drops pretty damn well, and I'm a sucker for internal stop pins. It's insane that it's a Walmart knife. Having said all that, it's still not worth the $30. I just picked up the harnds knife with better action and detent with 14c28n for $17 on sale. There's just too many better knives for the same or less money.

Made the trip to Wally to look at these new knives yesterday. They had the two folders and the fixed blade, didn't see the multi-tool nor the little one. They were the display models, but neither folder flicked open smoothly and the first one didn't want to engage the frame lock. Was the "mycarta" on the fixed blade even real mycarta?...seemed like imitation molded plastic. They just seemed like cheap knives. Just walked and never took out the wallet. My loss i guess.

Yeah. Victorinox takes way too long to put out new stuff and move with the times. Imagine how many SDs they could’ve sold if they just put G 10 or carbon fiber on them. Even if they charged a little bit more fine. But it gets boring after a while if it’s just colors, and nothing really new.

Hey Beez 😊 I really like the gurundit. That's not a bad looking knife and aus-8 is good. I like the large multitool too. My Leatherman 300 is built like a tank and great but has the blades on the inside of the handles. That fixed blade would be a great bushcrafting or even a hunting knife. I definitely will be getting one of the small multitools for my keychain. Ive had a small swisstech tool that's just a small blade, and two types of screwdrivers on my keychain for as long as I can remember. I bought it at Walmart. I also have a swisstech tool that looks like a key that opens and comes off your keyring and has a blade. Got it at Walmart too. I know I have a micro swisstech key ring folding pliers that have screwdrivers for handles somewhere around my house bought from Walmart also. They have some great stuff.
