A citation is an ENCOURAGEMENT to CONTINUE stealing. She KNEW that ‘CANDID CAMERA’ was operating very well, but she did NOT care. Retail theft must be taken seriously.

WHY do the police offers tell them the theft threshold??? When she says "ohhhhh" it is very telling that now she knows to not go over a certain amount. Which will then allow her to keep stealing since the consequences are nothing!!! Really lame move on all the police officers who give thieves a heads up. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Not only that, but when someone loses it over getting arrested, some officers just play it off. "It's not the end of the world.... it's just a citation and you'll be out in just a few hours if you don't have any other charges. Everyone makes mistakes, it's one of those things". NO! They ought to be scared to death to get caught stealing! It IS a crime....or isn't it? 😒

They don’t act like they care a bit which I doubt they do. People need to get harsher penalties for being thieves, not that it would make them stop. Some people are just career criminals and have no other goals in life.
