I've been shopping around for a new laptop, for work, school, and a little gaming. I have a pc I do most of my gaming on, but what I would like to know is if the hardware is upgradeable, and if it's worth getting to use primarily for work/school ?

The SSD and RAM are upgradeable. It supports up to 32GB of RAM. It's a great laptop, but a major concern for me is the battery life. Since this is a gaming laptop, you unfortunately can't expect it to last long on one charge. The charging adapter is heavy and you will likely not want to carry It around and power outlets might not always be available in public places. You can increase the battery life if you tweak the settings and replace the SSD with a drive that is more energy efficient, and I think you can replace the battery as well with a better one.

The cpu and gpu should be able to run games at low - medium settings on most games but am i missing something? I feel like they would advertise it if it could run vr. Got rift s btw. Thanks

My question too. I have a Oculus Quest and was honestly disappointed in the lack of games in the Oculus store. I hope this laptop works well for VR so I can download some of these awesome Steam VR games and play via PC using Quest!

I have the gtx 1660 ti version and in office mode the fans are completely silent, cant hear em at all, the battery life however is only about 4 hours at max, or at least, thats all I've gotten out of it, unplugged gaming is about an hour to an hour and a half

Yeah, but it only has a battery life of 2-4 hours. So you'd have to pack your batery with you.

F A Skyrim modded can almost beat some modern games out there, so it’s a decent benchmark though it’s helpful knowing what and how many mods are running, I’ve known my old 1050ti omen ran Skyrim with several high end mods and maybe 15 common mods at once all on ultra and I noticed very little dip, so I’m guessing the graphics here would be able to keep up just fine

@@noki1515 Sorry missed your msg. Bettery can depend on the usage, brightness set, etc. The Gaming performance is good as you can tell by the specs, but i would recommend checkout new laptop reviews before making final decision
