@@iamgaz1805 just wait a few days or weeks. call the walmart you applied for and ask to speak to the manager to ask about your application status. i recommend doing this only once a week. i went in my local walmart today and asked the manager and he said i have to wait for someone to call me and they'll give me details about orientation & stuff like that. he didn't mention anything about an interview, so i think this might be easy to get in for me. hopefully it's the same for you. just wait a few weeks. walmart isn't so fast when it comes to getting back to people but they're very busy so just be patient, but persistent.

Try to apply for different locations near you, there are also some neighborhood walmarts. Put your zip code and apply for different positions for each location. It increases the chances of you getting a call back because some might not be hiring anymore or they might have already picked workers and some locations are still looking. Also click on the tab that is for future openings and apply to the same stores for different unopened positions, they will keep your application and you will be the first one to be contacted if they happen to hire for positions that aren't available at the moment. And try to be patient after you applied at different locations, because I applied like 3 months ago and they just called me last Wednesday to do the interview on one of the many locations I applied for. They hired me on the interview and now I'm just waiting for them to call me to go to the orientation. They do take for ever but you just have to be patient. Good luck 🤞 hope you get a call back!

If you have no luck with walmart, try fast food places. They hire you pretty quick. Try applying to taco bell, Wendy's, etc. Btw church's chicken is always hiring and they call you back pretty quickly, you have to fill out an application in person. Ummm try to search "jobs hiring near me" on google and apply to the ones you like. Hope this helps.

@@DamnItsUzi No you dont need a resume if you have no work experience. You have to be 18+ to apply to stocking btw. If you're 16 you can only be a Team Member or a cashier, or like doing carts and such outside.

You should try working at one of the DC’s. It’s harder work, compared to the stores. But Walmart try’s to make it worth it. Good thing is, no dealing with customers. And management doesn’t bother you as long as your doing your job. Keeping your nose clean, so to say. I make $1000 a week after taxes. And I have only been working there 8 months, as a picker.

I was asked to do a drug test because I was hired as a host and when they wanted me to do a background check I couldn't get online because when I went to the main page they told me my time had expired and it wasn't even 24 hrs. Walmart can't hold onto employees because they don't treat them well. Give it time and I think a big class action lawsuit is going to happen against the company.

I tried calling the store after but there was no reply so I went to the store and asked for the hiring manager in person, they led me to the backroom where she was and she asked me for my name and looked up my application and asked me questions like why I wanted to work there and stuff and the next 2 days they sent me an email to meet up for orientation.👍I recomend going to the store it's way faster.👌

But as a Cashier I personally think it's simple and not so complex. And so far everyone has been really chill and helpful.But If by any chance a person doesn't like the position they applied for they can always change it.

I received a call, that told me the options I had for the jobs I applied to. I didn't like them, so I applied for a cashier position and was told to call back. I called the main number and was being put on the line with apparently, someone who was part of their hiring services, but when I was waiting, the phone immediately hung up on me. You call the main number of Walmart in order to talk about employment, yes?

They gave you options but you didn't like them so you applied for cash which was something they may not be hiring for which is why they told you to call back so when you do call back they will just ghost you instead of telling you straight to your face that they're not interested. You didn't get the job Walmart is not a professional company to work for if you want to be treated with respect Pro tip if you need to reach a walmart manager call the main store number and make no mention to the person answering the phone that you're an associate or about to be one as the managers will ignore calls from associates as they don't care about their employees but if they think you're a customer they will hurry to that phone many associates have said that they've been on hold for as long as an hour before giving up or sometimes the manager will pick up the phone just to hang up always tell them you're a customer you will get priority service every time!

I'm 18 years old, and we have two 16 year olds who work in my department. It may be a little harder to get in though since your 16. A lot of minors work in OGP (online grocery pickup) so if your walmart offers that I would most definitely apply for it if I were you.
