I have the BOSS SS version. I've had it for 3 years now. I LOVE IT. It's durable. I haven't had anything break yet. It's SUPER comfortable. I've fished for over 7 straight hours without a break, with no issues, several days in a row. My only complaint is the noise. I don't know if it's the tri-hull design or the scupper hole design, but if you get any waves or surface motion in the water it sounds like someone is blowing milk bubbles under your keel. It tracks straight and true, but isn't fast, it steers well, and it's VERY STABLE, even when standing.

Got this kayak, and I like it. Not perfect, but very good for the money. Best modification for fishermen is to put the yakattack omega pro rod holder that slides into those side rails and gets the fishing rods out of the kayak. It's pretty heavy, as larger kayaks can be. The grass camo scheme is really amazing on grassy lakes. The locking large port holes are excellent, you can store a ton of stuff in them. Seat is incredibly comfortable. Spent 6 hours on it and my back was fine, my legs were fine. You can stand up on it due to the tri-hull design if you have good balance (I don't). Couple of issues with it: 1) only 4 of the 8 scupper holes are drilled out, so water has a harder time draining out. The holes are also tiny (1/4" holes in a 1" scupper). You can drill them out bigger to speed drainage and drill the other 4 if you want. The front/left fishing pole hole is open to the interior of the kayak, so water can get in through that hole. It has a cover that you need to keep closed if not using it with the included rod holder. Lastly, some of the screws were missing so I had to find some and get things well screwed down, which is an easy fix.

Love it, I got mine for 247.00, I was buying the life time tamarak when the manager said, there is this other kayak that someone ordered online but never came to pick it up and it's just been siting there, take both and I'll sell it to you for the same price as the Tamarak, I walked out of there with two Kayaks!

@@nicklong6429 Since the pandemic started all kayaks are gone due to people trying to find a way to separate form other people, I was just lucky to find the Tamarak and even more for the store manager to offer me the Ozark Trail/Sun Dolphin. Im pretty sure there are waiting times to fulfill all stores orders. What I do know is the people are reselling them for a higher price. Just last week I got to see one single kayak at another walmart. Just one. Impretty sure it's gone. Just keep looking, be ready to drop the money on the spot as soon as you find one and good luck!

I got 2...the gray and camo green. Amazing kayak! I added a 30lb minkota, garmin 4 striker scotty transducer mount arm, scotty cup holder and a scotty rod holder. When we put them in the water even the guys with those 3000 dollar hobby kayaks look and say WTF! LOL.

I have this same yak. Biggest problem is the seat. When the plastic gets warm the seat will fall to the lower position.

@@mattjones1378 I want one but have nowhere to put it until I sell a car... there are some good tutorials on how to tweak it out to improve it. I've read that the 2 seat height adjusters are made of hollow plastic which deforms when heated causing the seat to collapse. But a small hole and some injected resin or gorilla glue would stiffen it up. I'm 6'6" 390lbs and this is the best price point for a guy my size. For an extra 100, you can redo seals, plugs, and a keel protector, and install a bilge pump... out of the box it still needs work, but it looks real sturdy.

The storage front a back are the same used by the Blue Sky 360 Pro and Angler Model's...And even there top model the TriCat 360 Pro Angler .... I do have a question ...Did your storage compartments have a water seal on them so they won't let water get inside them ?

I have been trying to buy a kyack since early March. Local Walmarts were sold out. I have ordered two from Walmart. Com. The first order was canceled after 2 weeks and the 2nd one has been on order since early April and now it's May 12th. Pilot Freight picked it up from the warehouse on April 23rd and said they can't track it. I'm about ready to throw in the towel and ask for a refund

I was just doing a review of this kayak. I personally do not have this kayak. I alternate between the Hobie, Solo Skiff, and Jon Boat. KayakDIY does or did have this kayak and I did place a link in the description of his review of the kayak. He goes more in depth and takes it out on the water too. That POS Kayak almost got me killed yesterday. It took on water all at once and capsized in about 10 seconds. I was in the intercoastal waterway in swansboro NC. 10/10 do not recommend. 💯😡👎

@GetOutTheHouseGoFish Yeah... It happened right as the sun was setting. It was almost dark. Huge shout out to the young man in the nice yamaha ski boat that fished me and the yak out of the water. His depth finder was reading 63ft of water where he picked me up. With a 15mph outgoing tide. Thank God for my PFD and good people. The ICW is extremely busy at the end of the day with charters and professional fishing boats flying back into the docks. I could have been ran over and shredded by props or swept out to sea or drowned. After 10 years of active duty Army and 4 combat deployments, I would have been pissed if I died to some shitty kayak accident. After that, I will never endorse ANY Ozark Trail products. If anyone is considering this Yak.. Just don't.💯 Ozark trail may be ok for Walmart branded camping supplies, but as for something like this kayak, pass up the budget buy. It's simply not worth your life. I have 2 little ones at home that almost didn't have a dad after yesterday. And I am NOT OK with that. I would understand if this was a negligence or user error issue. It wasn't. The kayak performed pretty well for most of the day. Then, it's started taking on water and all I heard was a loud hissing sound. 10 seconds later, me and my gear were in the water. I lost 3, $400 rods and reels. All my tackle, my Oakley sunglasses and any confidence I had in that kayak. I'm lucky to be alive.💯✌️

😆I had seen them only online; they have been very rare and hard to come by at any Walmart down here in Florida. I thought it was a good review that covered the basics if anyone was interested in this kayak and I also included a link in the description for KayakDIYs video because he has the kayak and takes it out on the water.
