My small town Walmart has really stepped up its vegan and natural foods game over the last few years... In addition to all the awesome things in this video, I've also found Miyoko's butter, chocolate pudding made from almond milk, and the absolute best cauliflower wings from a brand called Rolling Greens. A lot of people hate on Walmart, but for vegans who can't afford to do all their shopping at a speciality grocery store, it really is appreciated that they have gotten on board with vegan products!

When I moved from a major city out to the middle of nowhere last summer and I had to give up my beloved Trader Joe's for a Walmart I was pleasantly surprised by the vegan options available.

I'm 1 mile from Wal-Mart. It's my store. Thanks for pointing out all the Vegan goodies they have. Only started this way of eating 2 weeks ago since I'm old and need to get my self back together. I'm really fortunate my store has allot of the items you showed. I've seen them. Now I need to buy them. I recently gave up meat and I'm not even missing it at all. So many delicious vegan recipe I never knew existed until I started watching Utube

I’m loving the Incogmeato nuggets. My kids enjoy them too. Ours definitely is not that huge even though ours is a Super Walmart.We just had Impossible grounds for tacos & I couldn’t stop eating them. Yum! I wish we had instant noodles available here as well. We don’t have anything! Plus being a single mom on disability due to terminal cancer, I have to budget. Loved seeing what was accidentally vegan.

Just tried the Field Roast Chao Mac and cheese with some extra Chao shreds of the same flavor and fresh ground pepper. Was so delicious! I used to love Stouffer’s Mac and cheese before becoming vegan and this is actually better. Way better!

I work at a walmart.. the options definitely depends on the location. My store just got a lot of these items over the past year. Love the tofurky sausages, so delicious ice creams and gardein everything! The sausage pasta bowl is very good for a "frozen dinner" type meal. It is nice that they are more affordable at Wal-Mart than other stores near me. Some products are a whole dollar or 2 cheaper than at other big name stores!

Wow thanks for making this video! I had no idea! Due to spinal injuries I can’t go in person to shop so I use Walmart pickup. They don’t seem to have this many options with online shopping but was surprised to find tempeh. They’re often sold out of that. Now, at least I know there’s products to look for. They do have a lot of organic produce options but not all are fresh so I’m learning which items are usually safe to order. Again, many thanks. I’ll definitely book mark this and send it to everyone from lifer vegans to the vegan curious

Another ingredient to look for in bread is L-Cysteine which most likely comes from bird feathers or other animals.

So many options!! I actually found this video because I’m placing an online order right now and I kept looking up some products mentioned and my Walmart didn’t have lots mentioned. Still was able to find lots of cool items, but my Walmart does definitely need to improve in my opinion. Love their organic produce, and organic canned goods as well.

1. Love that you put timestamps for each vegan product. As a new vegan (been vegan for a whole month-- only times I've broken it is when I'm at a social gathering, and there is literally only a vegetarian option, and the medication I take, unfortunately, has lactose in it & there is no lactose-free option for that medication), this makes pillaging through my options so much more accessible/easy. 2. I LOVE Follow Your Heart sliced cheese. At least I liked it at the Native Foods I ate at. And I used Follow Your Heart provolone shredded cheese once for a pizza-- yumm. Their mayo is also SUPER good. Some vegans prefer Hellmann's, but Hellmann's, to me, is too liquid-y. I prefer Follow Your Heart mayo, easily. 3. LightLife tempeh bacon is probably the best, imo. I tried Lightlife-- thought it crisped up way too fast and was essentially flavorless. Sweet Earth was just a smokey mess. Idk. I just think LightLife tempeh kinda nails the almost-bacon texture. 4. Beyond seriously slaps for fake red-meat products, such as their frozen burgers, meatballs (I guess that would be fake ground beef?), and Italian sausages. Impossible is good too, but it's usually more expensive at my supermarkets, and, if you ask me, both taste pretty similarly. Beyond also has great ground beef. 5. Imo, for pasta, Barilla is just fine. Tbh, I thought Banza pasta tasted extremely gross, but I only tried cooking it once, so maybe I just didn't cook it right? 6. I'm glad you brought up Gardein (although which vegan hasn't?). Haven't tried other vegan chicken nugget brands because I don't need to--- their chicken tenders/nuggets are the bomb dot com. Also, off-topic, but don't you hate when a company, that has popular vegan products (I'm talking Banza and Gotham Greens) also has dairy options? I only hate this because I accidentally bought non-vegan pesto and non-vegan mac and cheese (from those companies). Yes, it was my fault for not checking labels, and the next time, I did buy the vegan options, but it does suck when this happens. Oh, and of course raw kombucha is the shit. Synergy is the best. But Health-Aid is also really great if your supermarket/grocer/grocery store doesn't care Synergy. Overall, great content! Even after a month, I just physically feel better. I have no scientific evidence to back that up with-- just anecdotal, but hey, if it helps the environments, offers more health benefits than some other diets, and less animals are harmed, why not eat this way? (Obviously taking into account where you live, food desserts, certain health conditions, etc).

Have you tried things like GlutenEase? They make it easier for your body to process gluten and (for me at least) make me feel loess sick. I still eat primary gluten free, But I would suggest looking into it.

Depending on where you live you will have better options for Vegan items. I was born and raised in N. Cali and lived their for 55 yrs. and had tons of options that made going Vegan pretty easy. Then I moved to the East Coast and the South East and options are very LIMITED which is a huge disappointment. Thank goodness for Aldi's that is here in the South East since they carry so much more Vegan items then Walmart and the major stores combined! My toddlers and I have been eating the plant protein birch benders every single morning for months. It’s a really good starting off point and we keep it interesting by changing out the add-ins like blueberries, walnuts, pecans, bananas, cinnamon, pumpkin purée, etc. and it’s so awesome!

WOW!! I had NO IDEA Walmart had soooo many vegan options! I currently shop at Fred Meyer, WinCo, and Albertsons. The Fred's has limited vegan options, WinCo has even less, and the largest Albertson's is sort of a specialty store, a Whole Foods or Trader Joe's store, and a regular grocery store all in one, and they have lots of options--but the prices! So it's LOVELY to know that Wally World has so much goodness! Hmmm, I just might have to change my main shopping store...

Eat good looking (and tasting)vegan foods around them. Eventually they’ll probably want to try it. If they like it, they might buy it for themselves. Aim for slow change instead of forcing someone to change all of their eating habits, and the rest will follow.

I live in South Florida. The two Super Walmarts here don't have nearly (if lucky, 10%) the variety of vegan products that you showed. Because I keep my diet more whole-foods based, it's not that big of a deal to me. However, not carrying something as basic as nutritional yeast or shredded cheese is hard to figure out. As some of the others have commented, the Walmarts on the east coast have a lot of catching up to do with those on the west coast.

Something that I would like from working at Walmart is that also in the juice section there is a section of non refrigerated milk which typically is macadamia milk and rice that are there. But overall items that I have very option seen that are more common in the smaller Walmart I work is that there is at least a small amount of options in each department section

Great to see all those vegan options at Walmart! Looks like the demand is enough to have a lot of products to choose from these days. I don't shop at Walmart often, but it's nice to know what they offer. There is now an all vegan store that opened up here in Las Vegas called Veg-In-Out, but their selection is kind of small. I do support them by buying there along with Trader Joe's, Sprouts, and Smith's.

They also have plant based pot pies from Marie Callenders that are really good, I have tried both of them. Our just recently got in the Best Foods Vegan mayo, I have been buying it at another store that is more expensive and was very happy to see that they had finally gotten it in. There are a lot more options than there was before.

I have other options, but if you’re a senior in a fixed low income, Walmart’s is a necessity. I once told my social worker I didn’t feel good shopping there and she quickly said I should not feel guilty about any money saving strategies.

Sam's Vegan Protein Broth is excellent! I like it cold. Hellmann's made an amazing vegan mayonnaise (brown and blue label) that was almost indistinguishable from original, and then they changed it (green and blue label) and absolutely ruined it. The best I've found since is Wildwood garlic aoli.

I think it is important to point out the high cost of and high oil content and chemical preservatives in these 'convenience' vegan foods. I am glad to see more options and access but worry about all the additives. I was thrilled when I went vegan that my food bill dropped by 65%. I plan on continuing to make my meals from scratch and pocket all those savings. .

Man I love LOVE Morningstar farms corn dogs. They are legit every single bit as good as the state fair brand corndogs I normally feel is the standard. I now buy the Morningstar farms over state fair brand. Just delicious Imo. Great value almond milk is actually my favorite. It’s so good. Reminds me a lot of skim milk which used to be what I drank. Minimal nuttiness which I also like.

The Walmart in Tigard has a small little teensy refrigerator section all off on ots own. Those tahini bars are to die for so smooth and creamy. The alpha pizza is really good and we've tried the gardein skillet meals are good for a quick dinner.
