My local Walmart basically has no yarn to pick from. I remember when they had a whole aisle of yarn to pick from...those were the days!

I really can’t imagine making blankets anymore. The price I used to use 20 skeins to make one blanket.

Understand that, shopping around for good sales is the only way I can. Herrchners has really good sales but shipping can be high. Always wait to see if a free coupon comes up. I look at goodwill too, if there is a afghan there and colors are good I buy it ( .99 at mine) and frog it to do new projects.

Walmarts yarn supply is only good for❓ small projects most colors not enough yarn for a blanket. What a nightmare.

True, went to different stores yesterday and many of them had limited amount of the ones I liked. Make it difficult when making blankets, which I like to make. 😕😊

They can be so different, there are 2 where I live and not the same. May make a video visiting several different ones when I'm able to visit my children. They only live an hour to an hour and half away, yet they are so different.

@@kb_crochet61 yeah I agree, I've been wondering if Walmarts in the city would have more. I've been searching for The Granny All in One yarn online it says Joanns has it I asked Micheals when they would have it in stock and they didn't know when. I'm guessing it might take a bit for it to be on shelves to buy. I know my local Walmart it took a few months later for them to put out the uh tweed birthday cake looking yarn I can't remember what it's called it's a RedHeart yarn.

We have a Hobby lobby, Michael's and walmart here, Joanns is about an hrs drive. On line my favorite is Herrchners when they have a good sale and free shipping.

@@kb_crochet61I'm Ashley btw, oh I do like Hobby Lobby alot but lately I'm wanting to get something with alot of color changes in bright pretty colors. You know I've actually never bought from Hershners. Joanna has a nice sale right now for its yarn, I tend to not go there too much cause it's higher in prices but I went in search for the granny all in one and they do have some nice sales. Their super saver is 2.99, pound+ was 6.99 which I thought was a steal. I ended up getting Caron halo though I've been wanting to get that so badly it's soo soft with alot yardage but yeah Joanns actually has some deals right now.

Walmart Mainstay acrylic yarn is super soft after you wash and dry it

Just made a rectangle shawl using the mainstay sparkle. I like it for a reasonable priced yarn. Do like their worsted yarn too.
