FIFO! First In, First Out. I'm the same way! Super strict about it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! 😃 - my husband has learned to deal with my taking the toilet paper out of the cabinet when I restock so that the new rolls go in back 😂😂😂

I applaud your persistence in finding a way to make them work for you. I do not make bath bombs because I know I'd get too frustrated and give up. That and they don't seem to sell well for other makers in my area.

Hi Sherry! Smart of you to know your local market. They are super frustrating too that is for sure LOL. I find some years are better than others, last year I sold more than this year at my large festival I go to. I also do not sell many online - they are mostly a fall/winter seller for me so I don't make as many in the summertime

Hey Tammy, always lovely to see you. I masterbatch my bath bombs (bubble bars etc) in a similar way. I just bung everything into one bag though, I don't worry about a small bag inside a big bag. I also agree, trying to do a big batch in a bucket is likely to lead to problems where things cant get mixes as well. One thing I do is always test a bomb in my press with just a single colour, no embeds etc. That way if it doesn't work it's easy to crumble up back into that same colour and try again. When I'm happy with the consistency I than start combining things.
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique2 ай бұрын
Hi sweet Lisa! Thanks for your commenting - you know, I often do a test like you do before combining or adding embed, but (in true Tammy fashion LOL) I just threw it in and went for it. I wonder if one day I will learn my lesson?😂💕

I just started master batching my bath bombs and I mix everything as if I am doing one batch and then dump it all in a big bucket and mix all together. Has made it so much easier.
@WalnutCreekBathBoutiqueАй бұрын
it really is much easier isn't it? - word of caution - make sure your bucket is small enough that you can really mix those powders really well before pulling from it - gravity can play havoc on your mix 🤗
@ddsissonАй бұрын
@@WalnutCreekBathBoutique it’s not to big, but big enough(as in NOT bulk coconut oil size😳) I don’t fill it completely full. I leave enough head space that with the lid on tightly secured I can shake it around to mix and then let it settle and then take the lid off and stir.

Hi Tammy, I love your freezer bag idea!! I tried the bucket method recently for my first market last weekend. About 70% in I was so sick of bath bombs (which I make manually) that I ended up adding a few other ingredients and packaging them in giant tea bags as bath teas... Your idea is much better 😅🙏 I also watched your video where you took us to a market and I picked up so many tips regarding layout etc from that video, it really made a huge difference to how I ended up doing things, and I believe it played a big part in the success of my morning (also a small market...). A big thank you for your tips 😄🙏🌺

Hi Angel (??)!! I hear ya about bath bombs - I was just telling my husband last night (after he got on me for working to hard making goat milk creams LOL) that creams are time consuming but they aren't anything like bath bombs where even with my press now, they are physically hard on me. I love you bath tea idea! I am so happy that my video helped you! I'm so happy you had a successful market - YAY!!! good for you!😀💕

@@WalnutCreekBathBoutique Thank you so much, Tammy! Yes, it was a success and part of it was definitely due to your tips, so thank you! I'm glad you like the bath teas idea - sometimes we just have to be kind to ourselves 😅 Take care and keep well! 🌺😊

I absolutely love how similar we work! The only difference is I add all my powders in the 1 bag and I plop it all on my shelf too hehe. I do this with my bubble bars and shower steamers. I also master batch my face polish, body polish, lip balm, body butter CP soap oils, What ever I can master batch I will. 😂 💛💛💛
@WalnutCreekBathBoutiqueАй бұрын
haha yep Chrissie - I love that you masterbatch lip balms - that is not something I do yet but I like the idea. I need to look into that as I am trying to streamline more things. My cp soap oils have stumped me though. I would love to masterbatch them but can't seem to get a good flow for it. my space is so cold (65 f usually) that they solidify too much to do it in one big bucket and I don't feel I could mix well enough before pouring out. So then I am putting them in separate buckets for each batch size and that costs money and takes up space...do you have thoughts? How do you do it??

The blue dye bath bomb idea you had, I had the same idea! LOL I haven't attempted it yet so I'm glad you included that it in your video! Umm I'm interested in knowing where you got those papers that show how much blue1and red 28- the charts you have. I haven't seen them before!
@WalnutCreekBathBoutiqueАй бұрын
hey Melissa!! I was so embarrassed by that idea I almost didn't share it 😂😂😂, apparently I have no problem making a fool of myself on YT LOL I got those from Nurture Soap - I went into the color blender section - nurturehandmade.com/pages/color-blender and then I just went in on all of the dyes and "snipped" the screen, added to a google doc and then printed it out. very handy. The only thing is I am thinking about sending it off to be printed professionally as my printer doesn't print blues and greens very well so it is not a true representative. Maybe I'll make a video of that since I will probably run out of videos in the next couple of months - I have not taped anything in about 6 weeks and will run out of videos soon LOL

Awesome video, thank you for giving out your recipe, and showing master batching, such a good idea 👍 I also have a bath bomb press and so far have never got a working bath bomb recipe 😢 so frustrating 😮 oh and with blue 1 a tiny weeny bit goes a long way, almost 2 (red) to 1 (blue) for lavender ( what I have done with colors is test a tiny bit in water to see if I have the color I want before adding 😊 to formula 😊
@WalnutCreekBathBoutiqueАй бұрын
that is a great idea Lynn! I will try adding some to water before moving forward. I did do a 2 to 1 like you suggested. I really think my main problem was that the red was a lake and the blue was a dye, - I really don't know if they should be mixed like that to come up with a color. I maybe should have used a red 28 dye instead of a red 27 lake???? do you know?? (ie help! 😂) as far as the press, I went through so many recipes, techniques and tears when I go mine. I will say it is worth the frustration to get it right and when you do you will be so happy with. I truly wish you the best of luck with yours🤗
