Intresting, never knew the RTD SD100s and SD160s had actual horns, wish they had them today.

They still have horns but they were changed to sound closer to those on Locomotives.

Good footage. Interesting variety with the commuter stuff, also surprising to see SEPTA PCC trolleys out in Colorado. Cool to see a Geep 30 working a local, and the brand new GE units are neat too.
@WaltLoevyActionTrainVideos3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, those poor PCC cars. They were purchased by guys with big dreams and no money 💰. They're still there rotting away in Colorado Springs.

@@WaltLoevyActionTrainVideos That's a shame. At least some of the PCC cars are preserved.

These are simply amazing. How much footage of wig wags/“banjo signals” do you happen to have? I think you should make a playlist of those videos.
@WaltLoevyActionTrainVideos3 жыл бұрын
The Amtrak and UP playlists have almost all of them. A recent posting of the Wisconsin and Calumet has one and one is lost somewhere in a Chicago Central video (hmm, I see your point).

How did you process this video to get such a clean picture off the video tape?
@WaltLoevyActionTrainVideos3 жыл бұрын
I digitized the video years ago and stored it on a hard drive until I was ready to edit it. Thanks for watching!
@AlexisHeavyMetal813 жыл бұрын
@@WaltLoevyActionTrainVideos So you did not do any processing on the digitized video to make it clear? Thanks.
@WaltLoevyActionTrainVideos3 жыл бұрын
No, it's pretty much the typical 500 lines of resolution that you get with Super-VHS. Although, I think digitizing alone helps improve things a lot.

Hello, I have a question, but I doubt I will get an answer, but here goes. Does anyone know where I could find out about SP train symbols and blocking of the freight trains from the 70s until the 90s?

Someone either at the Colorado Railroad Museum or the Sacramento Railroad Museum should know. Send an email and I bet they will answer you.
