Andy's pedal-fu is one of the strongest on the web, imho. He lets every pedal write a riff or song of its own that shows its talents in the very best light. 😃 Kinda like the look of this pedal, btw.

There are so many great pedals coming out now, it's easy to become overwhelmed ; the potentials and possibilities have never been so endless, and if you get too caught up, it's easy to burn out .Like anything else in this consumer's market, you have to pick your poisons carefully and stay focused; know I've made the mistake of flooding my brain with just too much info. . Even if you're a pro, or want to be pro, you have to assimilate at your own pace,- if it turns into work, or a chore,- a frustrating worry,- unfortunately, you are dealing with one job where that is never rewarded .Like Clint sez,- you got to know your your limitations.Don' t let the creative aids that are supposed to inspire become a drag.Peace.

DEMO ON BASS PLEASE
@JokerLokison5 жыл бұрын
I bought this with hopes of creating some new psychedelic sounds on my 8string bass. I've only gotten to jam with once at practice this last weekend and lemme tell ya, it was kind of a let down. The fuzz I got out of it was pretty cool. Kind of a mid range tight fuzz tone, yet not as harmonically rich as my Dunwich Cthulhu Fuzz or Fuzzrocious 420. It's different than any of the other fuzz tones in my arsenal, so IU know I could find use for it. The filter is the real downer, as it seems to have very little effect at all and twisting the knobs does absolutely nothing. I ran an isolated power supply to it as recommended by Walrus in the pamphlet that came with it. I'm really hoping that it isn't the down tuning it doesn't like or the low pass signal, because the other project I hoped to use this for I planned on pairing it with a 7 string guitar in Drop F tuning. As I said, I only got to fiddle with it at our last practice so really hoping I am able to get some better results out of it in an upcoming session. Finger's crossed, or you'll be able to buy it cheap on GC's online shop.

@hawg4275 жыл бұрын
Hey Andy, when you used to do gear demos at that Seattle store ;-) they used to make a pedal that had the best of the old Delays and new delays. They had a smaller footprint model & a larger footprint model. Can you recall the name of that pedal?

@drpibisback76803 жыл бұрын
Any way to boost the volume of the fuzz or does it pretty much compress every input into a limited volume range? Because if a cranked OD or distortion could get the fuzz signal loud enough, it could probably blow that envelope filter wide open and make some crazy glitched-out noise.
@chrishaugen86482 жыл бұрын
I don't think it sounds good stacked.
@IncompleteStrangers2 жыл бұрын
Kangra owner here, This pedal is extremely flexible (in the little thing it does). The filter and fuzz do go off the same volume, that being said, when the filter is matched volume, the fuzz is A HUGE FUCKIN BOOST. Some experiment later and I love it in between my dirt pedals for some to kick through the envelope filter to do auto wah shit, while also having something in front to limit any huge volume jumps that can occur.

@JokerLokison5 жыл бұрын
Just got a used 420 at a great price. It rips! The fuzz tone here is different though. I like using different fuzz/dirt tones in our songs, so I have several in my collection. The one I have that blows the 420 away however? Dunwich Amps Cthulhu Fuzz. One Knob Destroyer of Worlds! I like the blendable aspect of the 420, but the Cthulhu is the Gain God.

Take it from someone that owns one. You don't get lost in the mix with the pedal. I run mine into my overdrive to smooth it out a little. I brought it to a funk/soul/blues gig and it was a hit with everyone there!

Don’t waste your money, Walrus pedals are easily the worst effects I’ve ever used. All their pedals sounds like garbage and have massive design flaws
@scampoli255 жыл бұрын
@Cole Stanley I've owned two of their pedals and both were all style no substance. Cheap circuits, easily breakable knobs, and both pedals I had gave a massive tone and volume cut to my signal every time I turned them on. All the money goes into the paint job.

Idk man. I get if the company is not your thing but I’ve had my Jupiter fuzz for a while now and it works fantastic. Also the delay, chorus and reverb pedals I got from walrus are amazing. Knobs work perfectly fine on all of them and the pedals themselves sound great.
@RQ3S5 жыл бұрын
I dunno man, I'll die with their chorus on my board. Best chorus I've ever used. Very well built. I've had a few boxes from them and still have a couple. I've never had any issues with build quality or technical issues. I've only sold them if they werent the sound I was going for (iron horse). Not to say there can't be a bad pedal from a QC standpoint from time to time, but I think that's any company.
