Kyle: I am an American and former railroader who stumbled on your videos on KZbin. They are superb! I never knew there was such a variety of locomotives and equipment in the UK. Great stuff!

Hi Kyle These old class 56's some are being rebuilt virtually as new loco's as they could not buy new class 66/67 from Canada owing to not being able to supply them, but they can get engines and other parts so they overall them and fit class 66/67 type engines in them and reclass them as class 69;s just like brand new and a lot cheaper to buy.

Very good video. I'm not a rail person but I find it relaxing watching trains at home. Can anybody explain, with electric powered freight trains, how do they remove/up lift/crane out the shipping containers if the cables and gantries are in the way?
@ianjones41163 жыл бұрын
The electric loco is swapped for a Diesel loco before it reaches its destination. 😀👍

Great footage and the variety of locos was great too Kyle. Nice to see so many 56s on the move, altho it's not quite clear how many will be fully restored. 70007 looked fresh and sounded good, and must be one of the few serviceable FLHH locos. Loved the classic EE thrash off the 50s, quickly followed by the 20s on the LOL drag move. Great sounds and very enjoyable, well done mate! Best wishes from Ken.
@KyleLaw196 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Ken. Greatly appreciated. It was third time lucky with the 56 move due to it being cancelled on the previous two occasions. The line of 70s at Leeds seems to lengthen every time I pass by. They do sound good, so it would be nice to see some reintroduced to traffic. I'm pleased you enjoyed. Regards, Kyle.

whats all the carriages behind the first train with no windows in them?
@KyleLaw196 жыл бұрын
The carriages on the rear are known as barrier vehicles, which are often used to allow locomotives to haul railway vehicles with a different type of coupler or to improve brake force. If you weren't aware, the new carriages being transported are new MK5A carriages for TransPennine Express. They will operate in push-pull mode with class 68 locomotives on services between Liverpool, Manchester, Scarborough and Middlesbrough.
