I can't believe that voice can come out from that man. I've watched the beginning over and over again and I still can't puzzle it out. Totally amazing.

Clearance Nash was the very first original voice of Donald Duck who trained Tony Anselmo in the mid 80's before his final role in "Mickey's Disney Carol".

Voice actors are extremely underrated. Without their voices, the characters wouldn't be shit! I mean, look at all the characters in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit," if the voice actors didn't give them their personalities, the film wouldn't have been as funny, and yet all people seem to care about is Bob Hosckins acting. Barely anyone comments on the fact that it was the first movie to feature characters from seperate studios together, or that it was Mel Blancs last film as the Looney Tunes, or that the animators and special effects artists were able to make these characters come to life as if they really existed. Tony says in part two of this interview that he dosen't think Clarence Nash got the credit he deserved until it was too late, and hard to disagree. They deserve just as much credit as your average celebrity voice actors who were already famous! Voice actors like Frank Welker, Jim Cummings, Tony Anselmo, and Bill Farmer all too deserve to be on popular talk shows, recieve awards from MTV, the Golden Globes, or the Oscars, before it's too late.

They do!!!!! They do an even MORE AMAZING JOB! Than most of the so-called "voice actors" who are just... well... famous actors with the same voice.

Little tidbit, dunno if you know this, but the Donald Duck voice is not done with the larynx, like normal speaking, which is what makes it such a skill. They're actually using their inner cheek, believe it or not, to produce the speech. Yes when doing Donald's voice, Clarence and Tony are actually using their cheek to make speech, not their voice box.
@tonyanselmo92346 жыл бұрын
