5"10" Walter Lum has one of the most unique skillsets for a guard that you will ever see. Flashy handles, no-look dimes, lights-out shooting and a POST-UP GAME! He displayed it all in his Bay Area homecoming (Whitman vs. Chapman). Walter finished the game with a near 20-piece and has been leading his team in both points and assists this season.
The matchup featured Asian American talent on both sides, with Nathan Williams (#23) and Ben Grant (#1) leading the way for Chapman!

It will be a hard road for him to make it to the nba let alone be a star in the NBA. Unfortnately there are still racial bias in our society and Asian Americans playing in a predominately black sport is a tall task. He either have to be extemely out of this world good or be very lucky for a coach or an nba scout to give him a chance. He will automatically be labeled as the next Jeremy Lin and will have to try alot harder compared to a black player. Sorry to be honest but thats the truth and thats reality.

@@epicwolf yes but you’re saying it’ll be hard for him to get to the league because he’s Asian. Yes that’s true but the real reason is because he’s 5’10” and let’s be real 5’10” is more like 5’9”
@epicwolf
@epicwolf 2 жыл бұрын
@@RickiBobbi69 His race is more of a factor. I hate to say this but society is still very judgemental in terms of people's appearance and race. You have to be extremely and jump through more hoops if you not black. I might sound racist or ignorant but truth hurts. There is this 7 footer in the Phillippines that has nba potential name Kai Soto and he didnt even get a sniff of the gleague let alone any nba league. Now yes there are nba players who are half asian of half filipino but im talking about full asian and the asian look. Im not saying there is no way an Asian american of Asian in general cant be on the nba. Just saying they need to work a littler harder than a black person.

Notice all the short comments , gota come stronger then that, lol.. plenty of short NBA players, not a lot but a lot of short NBA players has made a name for themselves so being 5’8 5’9 aint that bad…. Being asian doesnt help overall plenty of 5’9 non asian players that will overlook him just for a simple plane an simple fact … not racism just down right hypocritical fact.. thats just how it works, in the worldwide sports world which is call “politics” he isnt a bad player strong on the ball, good passing, has a consistent shot, down side is he doesnt have much explosiveness to go with his hieght….. but he is a good PG he is good enough for JUCO, then another 4year university somewhere, chances of him making it depends on how hard he works an grind…..
