I was just reading through some Thomas Sowell quotes and I happened to come across a quote from Walter: "Prior to capitalism, the way people amassed great wealth was by looting, plundering and enslaving their fellow man. Capitalism made it possible to become wealthy by serving your fellow man." I liked what Walter said so much I decided to look him up. I was very sad to see he passed away not too long ago. I will continue researching Walter and perhaps even purchase some of his books if he is anything like Thomas Sowell. His words will continue to educate young minds like my own and make the world a better place for it. Rest in peace.

We will miss you Walter Williams (rip December 2, 2020). When I hosted the showing of his documentary “State Against Blacks” at Kenyon college in 1985, most of the otherwise highly educated liberal arts majors had never even heard these basic libertarian economic arguments. In fact most of the attendees believed that the documentary was the usual fare of grievances. His very different perspective was refreshing in the intellectual debate.
