My first time seeing one of your videos. I really liked your different kind of style to gun reviewing. It's the first time I've seen anyone use multiple types of ammo on a target like you did, made it fun to watch and easy to see the results. I also like the comparison between the "guy" shooter and "lady" shooter perspective of the gun. Great work!

For future referance Mr.Baates, I'll be sure to comb over your description, timeline and markers first to verify my personal needs. First world problems! Thanks for taking the time to make ans share. I understand making content on a hostile platform and filtering hostile comments can make a content creator "edgy", but dont bite the hand that feeds you. I was looking foward to the shooting, and the 9 min intro regarding the backsgraps and what size you guys prefer, was the mental equivelent of watching my wife try shoes on.

@@robkilcollins310 I understand that, and it's why we made the chapter markers, but hand fitment is something a lot of people don't understand, nor how one gun's backstraps might be different from the next. Size __ isn't always the best strap for your hand, it's about fitting the pistol to your hand. We've discussed how to make that portion of the videos shorter, just requires more editing; something I admit to not be fond of. I'm a journalist, not a video producer. That's why you'll see us in magazines but not on TGC's "GunTuber of the week!" lol

I just bought one today. In part because of your review... and, I did shoot the middle sized one at a pistol class recently. I loved it. My very first handgun, was a Walther Creed. Still have it. It's really too big to carry. I now own seven excellent handguns, and I carry several of them. The Walther, is definitely the best shooter. Now, to get a Raw Dog hybrid holster for it., if they have the mold. Walther handguns, are at the top of the quality level. I made a great deal with the gun dealer. A local business, not a huge outdoor superstore- it is also the place where I take training classes. Good people, a plug for RAC guns in Reno, Nevada.

@shenmue5507
@shenmue5507 3 жыл бұрын
I recently built a thousand dollar glock 19 using a polymer80 lower. This gun basically has the same exact features besides for it having no night sights or aluminum trigger. You're basically getting the quality of an apex trigger kit without the trigger shoe with this gun. In polymer80 terms this gun is worth around $830 and you're getting it for $600 😳👍. It's honestly one of the best deals I've seen in a really long time. If I would have known this was coming I would have never built a p80. Im definitely going to buy one!! . Im going to wait a year and let the company work out any problems it might have. It seems like most gun's have minor issues throughout the first year. I have a really good feeling about this firearm :). It might be the best one yet when it comes to pistols under a thousand dollars.
@GBGuns
@GBGuns 3 жыл бұрын
The new Walther trigger is better than an Apex imo.
@shenmue5507
@shenmue5507 3 жыл бұрын
No it's not 🤦‍♂️. The pdp has a 5.6 pound trigger with a polymer trigger shoe. The apex is a 4-4.5 pound trigger with an aluminum trigger shoe. The apex also has less take-up but the reset is about the same as the pdp. Both have clean take ups. In other words you don't know what you're talking about. The PDP has one of the best oem triggers out of the box but its not like the company is giving people $160 triggers lol.

It's literally a glock 19 gen 3 for people who don't like glocks. I'm shocked at how identical the internals are to a gen 3. I'm difinately interested in it at below a glock price tag... But I hope the mags aren't $40-50 a piece.

Having followed your channel for a while and your q4 sf review was one of the first I watched when I was interested in it. That being said do you feel this would be a good addition to the collection if one already owns a q4 sf? Im in the market for a new polymer striker fired handgun and the vp9 or is on my shortlist. Also any idea what exactly is modular about the pdp?
@GBGuns

If you want something that feels like the SF in hand, but isn't as heavy and has an optic option the PDP fits that bill.

There are many vids released about this gun right today. I get that walthers marketing makes a mandatory release date to push attention. But does it also mean cash or other kickbacks are involved? Would love to hear answer from the channel. Thanks

I can't speak to the other guys, but for us it's a long-standing relationship with Walther. This is the sixth year that we've been a part of the launch, and my first chance to shoot this gun was last October at my publisher's event. If you watch the Ballistic video I'm the guy with the shaved sides haircut and in short sleeves in that video. Since I already knew the gun in advance it made sense to be part of the launch.

Great Review!!! I just might add one of these to my ever growing "Wants" list, but I'm still really happy with my Canik TP9DA, a P99 AS Clone. A Walther CCP M2 has been on my "Wants" list, but now unobtainium, due to the current panic.

I don't think I will put my G19 or CZ 75BD up for sale to get the PDP. Walthers have a really nice trigger a really light trigger. I usually run NY-1 olive and a minus connecter in my Glocks.

I gotta be honest, and I'm NOT hating or anything, but... I just don't see why any current PPQ owner would buy this? Or is that maybe not the target market? I can already tell I like the grip texture better than the PPQ's, but is it really worth throwing down the money for a new gun, and new set of magazines?
@GBGuns

It's a generational replacement of the PPQ. That doesn't mean you need a new gun, just that a newer and improved model has replace it.
