Good video. I'm an old glock fanboy from a long time ago. I keep one glock at all times. But I picked up a PDP compact with the standard trigger and the standard trigger is better then a standard glock trigger.

Hey man what do you think about glock slide parts(striker, firing pin safety, depressor plunger, and extractor) made of 17-4 stainless billet then coated in NiB? Or should I just get the alpha shooting parts kit with TiN/TiCN coated 17-4 parts? The alpha kit would be cheaper than paying a company to do the NiB but do you think there’s a big enough difference in lubricity and durability to justify that price gap?

Honestly, in terms of surface texture, it’s gonna make minimal difference between a high dollar kit and a quick polish on oem parts. Where it’s gonna matter most is the contact point between the connector and the trigger bar. To me, it doesn’t justify the extra money. I’d just give a light polish on the plunger and contact points between the connector and trigger bar. You definitely don’t want a slick surface on your extractor. The opposite in fact. Its job is to grab a shell casing so oem extractor is the best suited for the job. A lubricious coating could cause extraction issues especially after being oiled so I wouldn’t go with any other aftermarket part for that.

@@theuncouthtruth9551 thank you that’s a great point on the extractor, I think I’ll try a TiN coated trigger bar with an NP3 coated connector. I know double diamond and overwatch precision have NP3 connectors. I’ve also considered getting a stainless steel channel liner coated in TiN along with the maritime spring cups to minimize friction within the channel. I’ve heard it’s necessary when using a lighter/skeletonized striker to combat against light primer strikes but I feel like less friction would have advantages with a standard striker as well. I know OEM parts are “perfection” and what not, but this would be for a build so I wouldn’t be modifying a stock glock and messing with something that’s already “perfect”. Instead trying to build an “enhanced” glock that runs a bit smoother internally.

Gun deals dot com. Quick search shows the cheapest price out there. I never buy a gun without it.
