I own a Walther PPQ M2 45 auto. It is truly one of the best handguns I have. The one I carry it concealed more often. The PPQ 45 is reliable, very accurate, with the best striker-fired trigger pull and great ergonomics.

I have this gun with a threaded barrel. It’s phenomenal. Handles the recoil very well and it super accurate...softest shooting .45 on the market. I added a set of talon grips with the rubber feel and OMG it’s 🔥

Ive had mine for a year and it is that good. Totally reliable and super accurate. Mine has night sights. The coating has held up extremely well. 25 yard shots are very easy with the light trigger. I’ve carried this owb during cooler months. Getting ready to get a threaded barrel and a suppressor for it. I’m sure that this gun will be a great suppressor host.

I’ve got 4 PPQ’S. M2 9mm, 45, and 2 sub compact. The sub compacts are me and the wife’s edc. Absolutely our favorite guns in our collection. But completely agree with the sights comment. I’ve put tru-glo sights on all four. I would highly recommend. But these guns are still great right out of the box

I always loved my dad's government 45 and when I got back into shooting as a hobby I started with a 22lr but as I started to enjoy it again I decided to get a full size and since 9mm was the most popular caliber in the world and it's widely available for a decent price I got a walther p99 as since striker fired guns were not around when I was younger so when I got back into it I started to enjoy the striker fired guns I was looking in my local gun store and the fn was the top of the heap for 45acp but it had a big price tag for me so I noticed walther had a ppq that was built for 45acp I liked the look the weight and it was a tactical version it held 12 rounds so I took the plunge and I was very surprised that it didn't have a kick back any worse than the 9 i.m.o. and being a novice shooter even though I had 40 years under my belt one of the safty guys at the range complemented me on my groupings and again it's a caliber that will probably stay around for sometime plus there is a surplus I like it alot I have small hands but they are long so it feels great in hand.

I debated getting this firearm, a M1911 or a SIG P320 as my first carry gun. I ended up going for the SIG P320 Compact in .45 ACP. I put an Apex flat facing trigger in it and I placed a Hogue rubberized grip over the grip. It shoots like a dream.

Great review the only negative is the Dallas Cowboy T shirt. It was cool to see your wife / girlfriend put one shot after another right on top of one another. I agree with many of the other comments in this review. I had the 9mm in the gen 1 with the paddle mag release and loved that gun. I have ordered my 45 and hope it will be here next week. I bought this, shot it, and thought the grip was horribly slippery. Almost sold the gun because I didn't like how jumpy it was in my hand. Put a talon grip on it and that made a HUGE difference. Changed the plastic sights too. Great shooting 45 now

I have one in 9mm that I thought was a little slippy in the hands, didn't notice it much when shooting. Threw some talon pros on it and now it is possibly the best feeling gun in hand that I have ever felt. It is a damn shame that I already have 2 more Walthers on layaway and talking the wife into a PPQ 45 would be a little difficult right now.

Love my PPQ 45, replaced the polymer guide rod with a SS one from BT Guide Rods. Good call Hegshot87 I own everyone of the guns you mentioned, PPQ 45, in 40 w 5 inch, HK VP40 and just picked up the Sig P320 Full size also in 40.

I have one and love it. It is a large handgun, however, and will make a Colt .45 auto seem thin by comparison, even if a Colt is a little heavier. Basic Colt Government Models aren't all that expensive, either, but more than this Walther. I have a Walther brand thumb-snap holster for it and it's comfortable to wear and concealable under some jackets. It's a little thick for comfortable IWB-type carry, though. For that, I have a CCP. I also have a P99, which now seems like a small pistol.

Just picked this gun up..it handles the .45 recoil well. Almost feels like you’re shooting 9mm. It’s 1911 accurate and has the best trigger of ANY striker fired pistol...that trigger is more like 4 1/2 pounds

I think I might get my PPQ .45 milled for a Trijicon RMR. I really want to try that and I can't really think of a better gun for it. There is a straight aftermarket trigger I've seen some pictures of. I don't want to change how awesome the trigger is though, so I'm not sure if I want try it or not. It definitely looks awesome with the straight blue trigger though.

I have the PPQ 45 M2. There is a fair amount of play between the front of the slide and frame on mine, that bugs me. But the gun is dreamy to shoot, very accurate. So I guess the frame play does not matter. For some reason it arrived with the rear site drifted at least an 8th of inch to the left, thank god that was not correct. The box is too small, same one as the 9mm and 40 cal one. The paperwork that is tucked under the foam padding sticks to the foam pads glue and tears when pulled out. But the gun really is fun to shoot, perceived recoil is low. If your a novice, and you try this gun, you'll wonder what the big deal is with hitting the target.

Walther PPQ 45 is king. Small grip with 12 rounds. Correct the high bore excess does not make a difference. You mentioned for home/range gun ,how about for DUTY. If you had the 9mm,40 ,and 45 on the table and picked one up without looking you really wouldn’t know which one you had. The differences in the grip is very minimal. Walther hit a HOME RUN . Hands down best trigger out of any striker fire.

I'm between this and the Ruger American 9 right now. But, if I go with the Walther I'm definitely doing the 45. I've looked at the PPQ 9 and I was not impressed at all. Especially with quarter inch shorter barrel. I'm going to do a comparison with both and decided from there

The OEM sights are trash. And by trash, I mean the trash that you see in a city dump. Same goes for the 9mm. I love the 9, and I'll be ordering the 45 as soon as I sell off my XD's, but $100-150 for what is pretty much a MUST DO upgrade kind of leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. That trigger though!

iam a .45 acp guy...this is too big for concealed carry obviously. i have a taurus pt145 for that (say what you will...mine has been flawless) and i have this ppq 45 as my nightstand and range gun. again....the hype is justified folks...its that good.
