Nice presentation on how to disassemble the PPQ M2. I'm coming up on a thousand rounds and it is about time for a thorough cleaning of the inside. I think I will give it a try.

I just purchased this gun. I originally wanted to get the XD 9mm however, the store I went to was out of that model. So my choices were down to a Glock, XDm-40, or this one. I picked up the Glock and completely did not like the grip. Way to box'y' for me.. So it came down to the Springfield XDM-40 or the Walther PPQ.. and It honestly came down to the feel. This weapon wasn't even on my list to check out, but as soon as I grabbed it, it felt like a glove. I have only held a H&K that felt almost identical.. It felt great! So I went with this weapon.. I haven't fired it yet, but just from all the reviews I'm sure I wont have any problems with this weapon.. very happy with the purchase.

Thank You very much. I am floored by how good of a shooter this gun can make ya. Almost like instant marksman..>! When I was young, I was a mediocre ice skater. One day, I got my hands on the new thing, plastic boots (yeah, I am old), and all of a sudden, I was able to do lots of things...! The PPQ M2 is the same deal. So's the PPS M2 for that matter. The Dynamic Duo.

These pistols fit in Black Hawk Serpa for Smith and Wesson MP 9/40 like it was designed for the Walther! Also Black Hawk Leather products for M&P 9/40 will fit the Walther PPQ perfectly.

Great video on a detailed stripping of the Walther PPQ. I love Walther Arms PPQ and the P99 as both are easy to maintain in every aspect. I would actually argue that they are slightly easier to maintain then even the Glock. As you don't even need a site pusher to change the sites on the Walther PPQ or P99. I agree with you completely on the fact that it's more important that a gun be easy to maintain and clean with very simple tools and that parts be easy to find and replace when needed.

I love this pistol, I recently got the M1 version because I prefer the paddle magazine release. My edc weapon is the Walther PPS. Thank you for doing a video on the detail strip of the PPQ slide. Much easier than my H&K P30, where you have to use a roll pin punch.

Wonderful Video. I have a new Canik TP9 sf and a Walther PPQ M2 and they seem to be very similar. Canik instruction manual is not very clear (for me). Viewing your video on PPQ m2 made it somewhat easy to disassemble rear slide portion to take out striker assembly and extractor on the Canik TP9 sf. TP9 sf is copied after P99. Thanks, Oz Mazzetta

Great video, thanks for precious informations! I am a happy owner of an M2 an I wanted to do a more deep maintenance. I just have a doubt I didn't red all comments, i hope you didn't answer already to a similar question. I saw there are several small springs unmounting the pistol. Do they need a change after a lot of rounds? At least the firing pin spring? Thanks in advance
@r2com6417 жыл бұрын
damn that extractor pin flew off under the sofa, thanks God I found it :)
@Kranak88337 жыл бұрын
I found one thing that wasn't mentioned. You need to reassemble the extractor before reinstalling the striker assembly because a part of the striker will protrude into the firing pin plunger well and stop it's placement. I know it was shown done in that order but it is important to do it that order.

I went looking last year because I own my own security company, and had open mind about different models. Once I held it, I knew it was the one and did not bother looking anymore. I love it. It either fits your hand or it doesn't. That is why people buy it. Everything I read is about how it fits the hand.

Just watched the video, especially the magazine part. As dutchman10mm said if you're using the M2 (right handed) it could hang itself on the first notch. So i'd say if you're going to use it left handed (release button on the right side) the P99 magazine should work with a selfmade notch on the other side ;)

I owned a P99 AS Trigger 9mm about 2 years ago, loved it. Problem is magazines were very hard to find, and spare parts were very very hard to find. So I sold it for a ............. (I hate saying this), a Glock 19 gen 4. Super easy to work on and magazines are everywhere. I am worried Walther will come out with a new gun in about 5 years and then forget about the PPQ model completely, I want a gun that will have spare parts available for decades and magazines plentiful.

@leoguy16096 ай бұрын
Walther PPQ M2 9mm barrel should last at least 20,000. Probably less for the 4O S&W and 45acp? Even though the 40 S&W psi is 35,001 and the 45acp is 21,000 compared to 35,000 psi for the 9mm. Really like the Walther PPQ M2 pistol.

Good video. Oddly, instead of a pin punch, I used the exact same Bic pen in your shot to disassemble the entire slide. The ball-point tip popped off the firing pin end cap and the ink tube worked as a punch on the extractor fulcrum. Furthermore, to agree with you, my late father who taught me to shoot used to say, "It's not the arrow, it's the Indian." (Being a Native American, I can say this sort of thing and not give a shit about offending anyone...)

Thanks young fella for the detailed break down of the slide of the PPQ M2 like the one I just bought my wife. I do wish you had gone into more detail on the breakdown of the frame assembly and in particular how to make any ajustments or corrections on how to make the slide release lever easier to push down with your right thumb ( we're right handed ) insted of also having to use your left hand,like what is shown in the instructions to release the slide. What's one supposed to do if your left hand is out of action when you have to chamber a round, unless you know how to use a door jamb or a table top to push the slid back a little bit while yea push the slid release down.( Showing my age now ) I did call Walther and was told that the lever would break in eventually. I suspect that by that time, my wife won't have any skin left on her thumb. To much glee, this young lady I'm married to now has taken a liken to shooting my 1929 ser.# XXXX Colt 1911 38 super auto, but I have to find an extended slide release lever to put on that for her that will work over the grip slab.Any thoughts about this issue???? Thanks again for the great vids.and please keep them coming. Hope to hear from yea soon. Steve

If it is kept clean and used with quality ammo, then it is totally believable. 2,500 rounds is not that many for a modern polymer pistol.
